This is a paraphrase version made by and for the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, a liberal denomination. It is not a translation. It is not a good Bible for study.
To be a good study Bible you must be able to use an interlinear Bible in conjunction.
That is important, in example, where the GW uses the word "horizon" in Genesis 1. Problem is the Hebrew word means "vault/firmament." As well the horizon is where the sky meets the land, it is not the sky, so two errors in one word.
There is also a very important problem of "gender neutralization." The Lutheran Church, for which this was made, is liberal in many ways, including the acceptance of women as preachers, which the Bible bars.
