Faith in God is the key to success in life
A failure, an encounter, a career transition... How to embrace what we are undecided about, or even what destabilizes us?

In our highly organized world, surprises are few and far between, because: summer holidays are scheduled for January, children's schools are chosen before they move, and The child is weighed and measured right from the mother's womb! vaccinated, tracked, located, networked, linked, no one and nothing can escape our will to control.

Technological achievements have given humans greater power than ever before, leaving people confused by the unexpected. If children are born with defects that are not detected by ultrasound, parents find their faith in “divine” medicine shattered. Let us be attentive to this desire for power, which places the burden of life on our shoulders. It's really flattering to imagine a moment of control over yourself. On a spiritual level, that leaves God on the sidelines. However, we will have peace if we know how to return His position to God's providence, which is the origin and purpose of our lives.

Put your trust in God by accepting not understanding everything at once.

God needs us to make room for Him, to desire Him, because He answers us. In his 2014 Lenten message, Pope Francis invited us to accept our poverty as a place for God's power: “If we think we do not need God, who is always expanding hands for us through Christ, because we think we are on our own, we will be on the path to failure.” Be reckless and forget your comfort so that Christ can hold us. Let us show our children that we welcome the unexpected with faith, strong in the certainty that “all is grace.”
In his commentary on the Gospel, Father Raniero Cantalamessa compared our lives to those of the Apostles surprised by the storm: if we do not let Christ into our boat, we will be lost. . Just like James and John cried out to God: "Lord, we are about to sink, don't you see?". Often we accept accidents that happen in our lives as injustices. When the Apostles were frightened, the Lord replied: "Why are you afraid, why do you not have faith?". Let us in turn put our trust in God, by accepting that we do not understand everything at once, let us trust in the One who “makes the wind and the sea obey”.

Like the disciples in the Gospel of Mark, let us welcome Jesus onto the small boat of our lives. To hold on to Christ is to maintain faith in the One who can do all things. His strength will allow us to face all storms, fight all evil winds, and, with Him, reach the other shore. And let us not forget the words Pope Francis announced in January 2014: “Faith in God is the key to success in life, because He never lets us down, never.”
