What happened to facing reality or giving a hoot about others?

Stock market keeps going up, making all the investors happy. Lay offs cut cost... up goes the stock. Send more jobs overseas... up goes the stock. Government stands for nothing, so tyrants get away with murder, literally... up goes the stock.

Things are falling apart around us, so at election time send people who say good sounding things to Washington. World keeps falling apart.

What is wrong with people!?!?
 
We live in a society that does not understand facts and realities. So we can't have people and law and rule built on facts since facts can be 'hurtful' and boring.

So what we have is a world and society being sold on ideas based on emotional pleading and fantasy. If you have an idea ... ANY idea ... you can plea and pull someone's heart strings and whip them into and emotional frenzy ... then you have sold your bit of goods as 'fact'.

No reasoning allowed or needed if you are a good salesperson.
 
sin is incouraged and in force. we used to call it the 7 deadly sins, now lots of folks mock it and play in it.
