What is the Bible about?

I was reading through the many interesting comments here within this great forum, I noticed one post that mentioned the horrible outbreak of the plague in Num 25

Remember Eleazar the priest: HE TOOK A SPEAR AND HE KILLED THE ISRAELITE AND THE MIDIANITE WOMAN WHO WERE COMMITTING IMMORALITY IN FRONT OF ALL THE ISRAELITES WHEN THEY WERE WEEPING!

here in the book of Num 25:9 - the bible says that… " And those that DIED in the plague were twenty and four thousand. "
:1 - And Israel abode in SHlTTIM, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
:2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.

the reality is - that because a number of the men of Israel were having sexual relations with the daughters of Moab, also they were quite possibly eating things that were contaminated with pathogens and germs, there was a disease / plague that had been contracted by the Jews and the plague was spreading fast - to 24,000 people.

this is why Moses began to kill the people who were
committing whoredom with the daughters of Moab

:8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague stayed from the children of Israel. :9 And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand. "

The Midianites and Moabites were bringing plagues, sickness, and diseases and unclean infected foods into the Hebrew camps, the God of the Bible was stopping the plagues and diseases by ordering the killing and removal of those who knew what they were doing was wrong and who were spreading the plagues and diseases and murdering their fellow citizens.

There were no cures, no medicines, no doctors or prescriptions and surgeries.

previously in
Num 16: - a similar incident had occurred where 14,700 people had died from the plague

:48 { Moses } stood between the living and the dead, and the plague was halted.
:49 But those who died from the plague numbered 14,700, in addition to those who had died on account of Korah.

the activities and immoral foods and sexual adultery brought forth diseases and plagues by serving other gods

Moses was commanded to kill
those who were endangering and infecting other innocent people in order to protect the remainder of the innocent. This is exactly why God commanded that some of the neighboring civilizations of the Hebrews to be exterminated – because they were so diseased, unclean and infected that they were dangerous to the families of the Hebrew people,

the only option was to remove them from the earth to prevent Israeli families from being infected ….

This is really what the Bible is all about in its entirety, to save mankind from himself, to give ordinances and commandments to protect one - another - protect those who are innocent and want to serve God and obey.

The CORE theme that the prophets were making was that the Jews were to be clean.

This is the Physical aspect and health importance orbiting as the main theme throughout the Bible

The cleaning of pots, pans, vessels, Washing, BATHING Every Single time after SEX, Washing after touching Dead People or animals. Keeping away from other people if You touch a Dead ROTTING Animal. Making sure to Mary a virgin or a widow. No sex with Animals. No gay sex.

'When any man at all - has a discharge from his body, His discharge is unclean.

And whoever touches his bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, Whoever sits on anything that is unclean shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and bathe his body in running water ........ 'If any man has an emission of semen, then he shall wash all his body in water, and be unclean until evening. And any garment and any leather on which there is semen, it shall be washed with water
.................'If a woman has a discharge, and the discharge from her body is blood - everything that she sits on shall be unclean.

the LAW was to --- separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness, lest they die in their uncleanness. Don't Eat bats, Lions, Cats, Rats, Eel, stingray, and catfish fishes with no fins and scales) Snakes. Don't Eat Raw Blood. the Point of punishment for BLOOD CRIMES>

The law of Moses, Punished People for Committing BLOOD CRIMES against others. Creating Diseases, Birth Defects, and Plagues. Today People Run Wild, INFECTING Millions. .......God Did not put up With this. the actors were punished and the Disease, infections, and Danger to Innocent Lives and People Following the LAW were safe. Water supplies, Food Supplies and All Cooking and Daily Living was Safe.

This is the entire purpose and theme of Gods law , BLOOD CRIMES ARE REAL.

This was the Core theme of the Old Testament.

The New Testament
is focused on the spiritual aspect and delivering the completion of Gods plan of salvation to the gentiles

yes, all of these men experienced trials and tribulations and difficult times and lived during a period of hardship.

40) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Deuteronomy 31, Yah.weh tells Moses that he is going to die!
  • And he says that as soon as Moses is dead, Israel will begin to commit spiritual prostitution with the foreign gods that are in Canaan!
  • They will forsake him and break his covenant!
  • Then each time Yah.weh will become angry and strike them with calamities and distresses!
  • And Yah.weh tells Moses to write down a song about rebellious Israel and it will serve as a witness to them!
  • Then Moses tells the song to Israel!

Moses had so much responsibility the stress and heartbreak he felt at times must have felt almost unbearable, however, look at the great things the Lord did did through him by bringing the enslaved Hebrews out of Egypt.

Moses was a true brother to his people, faithful, loyal and showed a true love that is unmatched by ordinary mankind.

41) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Joshua 7, we are told about a new problem!
  • Jericho was destroyed and everything in the city had been devoted to destruction!
  • But a man named Achan took something which was devoted to destruction!
  • As a consequence, Yah.weh was angry at the israelites!
  • Then the Israelites went to destroy the city of Ai!
  • But they lost and had to flee!
  • And it happened because of Achan’s action!
  • Because of what happened to Israel, they stoned Achan and his family!

42) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Judges 2, we are told about the covenant between Yah.weh and the israelites!
  • But they kept disobeying Yah.weh!
  • As a consequence, Yah.weh permitted the inhabitants of Canaan to stay in Israel to push the Israelites in the wrong direction!
  • When Joshua died, the Israelites went after other gods!
  • And Yah.weh stroke them and they were in great distress!
  • And Yah.weh raised up judges to save them from their enemies!
  • But each time when a judge died, they went back to corruption and did worse than their forefathers!
  • And Yah.weh would strike them again and again!

43) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Judges 3, Yah.weh allows nations to stay in Canaan!
  • It was a way to test Israel!
  • Would they obey Yah.weh’s commandments he had given to their fathers through Moses!
  • Because of their constant unfaithfulness, they were put to the test!
  • As a consequence, they took their daughters as wives and their own daughters to their sons and thus they served their gods!
  • And the situation got worse and worse!
  • Today we can see exactly the same situation!
  • Nothing has changed and won’t change!
  • Thus Yah.weh will clean the earth!
  • Time will come when only those who obey Yah.weh’s commandments will get the promised land!
  • And only them!
  • SIMPLE!
  • It doesn’t matter if men don’t want to understand!
  • Yah.weh is the boss, not man!
  • That is divine balance, divine justice!
  • No human justice which is a joke!
