Here is an interesting link ... There are people who have little cross references in their senses. When they listen to music, they might see a particular color when a particular musical note is played. Others see each day of the week as a particular color or defined by a certain mood. Some find it annoying and try to ignore it. ![]() I wonder if there is harmony of color that goes along with harmony in the music? ... ![]() I have two things, that I know of, that I get cross-referenced. Both are simple words. One is the word "please". Whenever I say or hear the word ... as far back as I can remember ... I see "white" and I get the feeling of purity but not blinding light, rather friendly, perfect, and revealing light. ![]() The other word is "thank-you." To me I always see chocolate brown. I say chocolate brown because along with the color I get that same feeling as when I actually eat a piece of chocolate, but a little subdued ... but I am talking good quality chocolate here. maybe a Swiss. Not bright and full of sugar, but smooth, velvet, and subtle. I remember sitting down as a young guy six or seven years old and trying to work through this. I still get a chuckle from it. ... and no, I can't get over a chocolate fixation by repeating the word thank-you over and over again. ![]() Little subtleties of the mind ... ![]() There are a couple of tests at this link that are kinda fun to try, particularly if you have any of these characteristics. ![]() |

I don't think I'm a color thinker, but I tried to take the test. After I went to the site and clicked on the test a page popped up that said it wasn't found. Maybe their site is having issues so I'll check it out later.
Hey I love chocolate too, but I love sweets in general. I find that interesting....color thinking, I never thought about that before. I know when I think I tend to get carried away into daydreaming, not funny when your driving. I was also thinking about smells, slightly off topic but I put smells to many things. When I think of spring I think of lilacs! :) Hmmm I also think of yellow and green.... finally SUN and GRASS!! lol...Michigan blah winters. Hmmm I guess I may think in feeling. But spring really makes me think of the smell of fresh air also and the wind. |

Sounds, colors, temperature and all the rest most assuredly impact us. They calm, agitate and do a range of emotions.
We are creatures that depend heavily on our senses, just look at what deprivation causes, from which we do react to much in life.

Did you take the test Willy to find out if you were? I tried again and the page is still not found.

I did take the first two and I think it's safe to say, I won't be composing any great symphonies using color as a guide. There were a few areas of the test that I found interesting. I do associate (to a small degree) a general color for each day of the week. Especially Friday and Saturday. I won't tell you what they are until you take the test ..!! ![]() |

Try this link for a fun test
http://www.scribd.com/doc/38399/MIT-Puzzle In the window of the test there is a math problem of 12+53. If you slide your mouse slightly to the right, a down arrow scroll button pops up. Try this test its fun, wish I could find a better put together version, all I can find is a ton of blogs about taking the test, not the test itself. After you take it I'll tell you what I got :) |
