Yes its like they are encouraging people to buy guns in that way after all thats how it is now. Easier isn't always better! I don't think its a good idea either myself. If a criminal is going to buy a gun this does make it easier for them to do so now. They would never go to the second step either. The gun they purchase will probably be used for illegal actions any way. So if they get caught with the gun not being registered its probably because they already committed a crime with it. I also think in some strange way it would put it into teenagers hands a little easier. I don't know just an unsafe feeling if you ask me.

Kansas I don't know since I assume it's pretty isolated but in St. Louis definitely. Kids and school very shaky ground there!

Three points.

First, there is still the Federal check.

Second, those who will abuse them will get them illegally.

Third, crime rates go down, not up, where it is easier. In fact, a few cities have enacted mandatory laws to own guns. Their crime rates plunged.

Core, I hate disagreeing with you on anything, because I respect your opinions
on SOOOOOOO MANY issues. You are the main reason I return here!

However, we have had our moments. And this is another one .... So,
let's go.

LOLOL!!

Anyway ....

ME: Yeah, great. So then, our fellow Brethren in Jesus are out at the movies
or the mall with a gun in one inside pocket and a Bible in the other??

Sorry. IMV, oil and water don't mix, Core.

I have been kept from the fiery furnace on so many occasions, and
that was without even praying! Although when I did pray, it helped
out that much more. Amen!

I grew up in the country, in rural IN.

Everyone owned guns. No permits.

We didn't carry them to town.

But everyone knew if you come sneaking on property you better expect a gun in your face.

A gun is a tool. Not just a weapon.

This notion, many have, that owning a gun means disaster is nonsense.

Why do you think crooks go after homes in cities, with gun control laws, but not the country homes?

Easier and safer pickings in the country? Right?

Nope.

Should everyone buy a gun? No.

Those who fear them shouldn't.

Abuse of guns, as we see today, isn't because they are more available. Gun shops dotted IN, when I was a kid.

It is because or immorality, evil and corruption.

Really, if I wanted to kill someone, I could do it without a store bought gun. Not that big of a deal to make an air powered pistol. Or a 'zip' gun.

Core, I am not referring to any ol' gun, like the ones folk out
in the country own. I mean the concealed ones. Those little
.22's and .38's. The ones women like so they're not killed
if someone sets out to rape or mug them.

Trouble is, these are the very guns the thugs like. And the
pre-teens and teens who wanna make a name for themselves??

Just what the doctor ordered.

Like smoking, all they have to do is pay someone older to
get a gun for them, and wham!

Sure, they can do it with or without this law, but this law
is making it that much easier.

Nope. They don't have to pay an older guy.

If an older guy buys it, his name goes on the registration.

Anyone who wants to buy an unregistered gun can do so.

The only ones who don't get guns under tight laws is the law abiding.

Australia confiscated guns. Crime shot up. Gun deaths jumped up.

A rapist is going to think twice about attacking women who just might have a pistol in their purse.

Like the examples of a guy coming into a fast food and started shooting. Law abiding gal didn't have her gun with her. Was in the car. A number of people, including her parents, died.

Another, law abiding guy forgot to put his gun in his car before entering. Guy come in and started shooting. He nailed him. Lives saved.

It really is false that gun laws keeps guns off the street. It only hurts the honest people.

Lack of going through the Sheriff doesn't add anything to safety. His materials are already in the federal data base.

Canada has tight laws. Guns are there.

Brittian use to not arm police. So many got killed they armed them.

Really doesn't work, John.

Be sure to wear your "what would Jesus do?" bracelet while you are firing your Glock at the guy coming to your farmhouse door to borrow gas!
all the best...
