ROMANS 9
I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit— 2 that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers,[a] my kinsmen according to the flesh.
NEHEMIAH 1
3 And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
4 And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
5 And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:
6 Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned.
Why should you pray for the UK?
It's just a little island, surely, its too small to be concerned about?
What is happening in the UK, is a mirror of what is going to happen in the future to the rest of the world.
When I returned back to the UK in 2025, I found myself in a country, I did not know.
I felt like a stranger and indeed I was. As I walked around, I saw a multi cultural nation full of different nationalities. When we were with my brother Victor Jack in Bury st Edmunds, we went down to the Abbey Gardens, we met people from Afghanistan and several other countries.
We stayed with Victor and his son Graham and had wonderful fellowship with his church, I thank God for such men like this, Victor is 87 and is a modern day Caleb, he has planted a church on a nearby housing estate and still travels the country at 87. Victor preached the night I was saved in 1975.
Pray for his church, West road church and for their church plant Westley Community church, this church plant has touched many needy people and seen many wonderful conversions from drug abuse etc. Pray that each church would have 30-50 new believers each year.
Please pray for the ministry that Victor started: Sizewell hall Christian Conference Centre
When we stayed with my cousin near Huntingdon, we attended Godmanchester Baptist Church, please pray for this church, that they would have an impact on its community and that many people would come to faith.
Finally, Britain is being overrun by immigrants, most come by legal means, but many are coming in by boat across the channel and they are being housed in four to five star hotels and are given new mobile phones.
Several rapes of young girls and even murders have taken place by these illegals and their hotels have been targeted by groups against immigration.
Many of these immigrants come from Muslim countries, make no mistake Muslims want to make the UK and Europe for that matter into their countries, with Sharia Law.
They have made several cities into Muslim ghettos, they now have positions of power, they are Mayors of many cities in the UK.
This is no longer a game, the no 1 name for new babies in the UK is Mohammed.
But where there is these problems, there is opportunity. Please pray for the planting of many churches amongst the Muslim Community.
Please pray that the church would arise in both prayer and boldness. The law now says that any evangelism on the street is now hate speech.
In twenty years, London may become a Muslim dominated city. Many white people and many churches are moving out of the inner cities and these are taken over by mosques, temples etc.
The church needs to arise, before its too late.
Please pray that the church, would reach out to the Muslim community.
Please pray for cities such as London, Leicester, Bradford, Blackburn and Sunderland which have large Muslim Populations.
