Ephesians 6:11-13
KJV 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
YLT 11 put on the whole armour of God, for your being able to stand against the wiles of the devil, 12 because we have not the wrestling with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual things of the evil in the heavenly places; 13 because of this take ye up the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the day of the evil, and all things having done—to stand.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

11 The armor of God this is something we all as believers have excess to and something we all need to put on. We need protection against the devil, we cant do it on our own and need both the Lord and the tools He gave us.

12 We do wrestle against flesh and blood, he isn’t saying this isn’t a fight but is saying the greater fight is beyond that, the greater fight is sin and satan. The flesh we fight against often is self, our own flesh, Paul isn’t saying we aren’t and don’t need to fight our flesh but saying this struggle is also from the fall. Anything we fight against is because of the fall to sin. We as Christians need to get to this point Paul is speaking of to where are battle is more then what is just ahead of us, us see the battle in more of a way God sees it.

13 Paul says this again, which shows the importance of wearing the armor, living in this way. We cant stand on our own against these evils. Paul is stating yes there maybe things we battle against we can overcome on our own, although as Christians we shouldn’t want to but he is also saying there are much more things we cant and we need God for.
