Monaco—
Since 1994, the Government has been encouraging the use of clean energy vehicles in the Principality, in particular by granting purchasing subsidies. The Government wished to adapt the scale of subsidies to take account of the increased availability of hybrid versions, as this had led to the granting of subsidies to vehicles that cause too much pollution. With this in mind, the State took note of incentive schemes in operation in neighbouring countries, especially in France. It also demonstrated a more proactive policy, modifying these policies to suit the needs of Monaco – a step that continues to favour electric technology.

In this new scheme, subsidies for electric vehicles are still 30% of the purchase price including all taxes, with a ceiling of 9,000 Euros. There is a ceiling of 3,000 Euros for two-wheeled vehicles.

Electric vehicles also benefit from specific advantages, such as free recharging at the 574 charging points in public car parks, and at the fast and semi-fast charging points on public roads: at the lower end of Rue Grimaldi, on Place des Moulins and at 24 Avenue de Fontvieille (in front of the Single Buoy Mooring building). They also have their own special identification, "VE" (for véhicule électrique - electric vehicle), which offers free on-street parking in Monaco and a free annual sticker.

It is expected that by the year 2035, demand will reach 110.3 million barrels a day. Companies eventually will start to transition to alternative forms of energy and will be interesting to see what the future holds for renewable energy.
Which countries have the biggest oil reserves?

Peak oil - Wikipedia

When the price of gasoline rises, people naturally buy less of it; the amount of this reduction being determined by the amount of the price increase and the consumer's elasticity of demand for gasoline. This does not necessarily mean that people will drive less (though it is likely), it may mean that consumers trade in their SUVs for smaller cars, hybrid vehicles, electric cars or cars that run on alternative fuels.

I have researched the topic & if you truly wanted to find the truth you would too
Still I know you won’t. This would require more effort than a mere one liner on your part.

This Is The End of The Fossil Fuel Age as We Know It, Says Report
BEC CREW

16 JUN 2016
Fossil fuels are holding on, but end of their reign is nigh, says a new report from Bloomberg New Energy Finance, which predicts that wind and solar will be cheaper than coal and gas generators by 2027, and electric vehicles could make up 25 percent of the global car fleet by 2040.

The peak year for coal, gas, and oil looks to be 2025, and then it’s all downhill from there. For big oil guys, at least. "You can't fight the future," says lead researcher, Seb Henbest. "The economics are increasingly locked in."

Released on Monday, Bloomberg’s New Energy Outlook report has found thatUS$11.4 trillion will be invested in new energy sources over the next 25 years, and two thirds of that will go towards renewables, particularly wind and solar.

Any new coal plants will mostly be cropping up in India and other emerging markets in Asia.

The report explains:
"Cheaper coal and cheaper gas will not derail the transformation and decarbonisation of the world’s power systems. By 2040, zero-emission energy sources will make up 60 percent of installed capacity.

Wind and solar will account for 64 percent of the 8.6TW [1 Terawatt = 1,000 Gigawatts] of new power generating capacity added worldwide over the next 25 years, and for almost 60 percent of the $11.4 trillion invested."

The report predicts that coal, gas, and oil will peak by 2025, and will hit its final decline even sooner than that, concluding that, "coal and gas will begin their terminal decline in less than a decade".

By 2027, the real tipping point will occur, when fossil fuels will be well and truly on the decline and renewables have been established long enough that they’ll likely be generating energy more cheaply than existing coal, gas, and oil refineries. And there’s nothing quite like a cheaper price to accelerate an industry even further.

global warming is a "fact". Fossil fuels are finite and this resource is running out; which is another fact. As I said before, the world is full of deniers

OOps, I left out --------
France Will Save Billions By Investing in Renewables Instead of Nukes
December 12, 2018
France will save 39 billion euros ($44.5 billion) if it refrains from building 15 new nuclear plants by 2060, and bets instead on renewable energy sources to replace its all its aging atomic facilities, a government agency said.
France should spend 1.28 trillion euros over the next four decades, mostly on clean power production and storage capacities, networks,
and imports, according to a report from the country’s environment ministry. If it does this, France would progressively shut down its 58 atomic plants and renewable energy would comprise 95 percent of its electricity output by 2060, up from 17 percent last year.
The development of the so-called EPR nuclear reactors “wouldn’t be competitive for the French power system from an economical standpoint,” the Agence de l’Environnement et de la Maitrise de l’Energie --or Ademe-- said in a statement. The report assumes that the reactors would produce electricity at a cost of 70 euros per megawatt-hour, while the cost of wind and solar power would fall much lower.
The report follows President Emmanuel Macron’s announcement that state-controlled Electricite de France SA will have to shut as many as 14 of its 58 nuclear reactors by 2035 to allow renewable energy to expand the country’s power mix. Macron also gave EDF until mid-2021 to prove that it can build an economically-viable reactor before the country decides to build new atomic plants. EDF’s EPR project in Normandy is more than six years late coming online, and the cost has more than tripled from its original budget.
Falling costs means that photovoltaic facilities won’t need subsidies from 2030, nor will onshore wind from 2035, the report said. That’s assuming that EDF halts 30 percent of its reactors after 40 years of operation and an additional 30 percent when they turn 50. Otherwise, surplus production capacity would undermine the economics of both nuclear power and renewables, Ademe said.
The study doesn’t take into account the impact on jobs, industry and the environment. However, “we’re expecting job creations in renewables and energy efficiency to largely make up for job losses in the nuclear industry,” said Ademe Chairman Arnaud Leroy.

BATTERY New CarPower battery

I envision you pull up to a filling station but instead of filling your tank with gas you drive into a fast car wash looking narrow lane. A red-light pops on saying “STOP” .

You set your park break and wait as a robotic arm from under your car reaches up and removes you discharge battery and replaces it with a charged battery.

The exchange lasts for about 5 minutes which is less time than it would take to fill a conventional gas tank.

Your charge can propel the car at a speed of 60 mph for 300 miles.

I believe the above has an 85% chance of becoming a factual fact in the realm of automobile power sources.

Checking in on Tesla’s Austin-area factory
Nov. 30, 2020
231

Construction of the planned Tesla factory in southeastern Travis County has been proceeding so fast that watching it take shape is practically a spectator sport.
Here are five things to know about the facility, which is at Texas 130 and Harold Green Road.
1. Tesla appears intent on producing more than cars here
The company has said it will manufacture many of its electric vehicles at the factory, but it has filed for a permit from the state to produce batteries as well. That would make the facility among the first Tesla locations to have both full-scale battery and vehicle production.
Tesla, which is based in California, hasn’t publicly confirmed the battery operation, but an air-quality permit application it filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality makes things pretty clear.
This place is in Austin, Texas.

What power source does the local grid use to generate electricity? Rechargeable batteries have a lifespan and then they have to be disposed of.

There is lots of oil … the earth is constantly producing it in several different ways …

The electric grid in many places will not be able to sustain even a light increase let alone many many cars draining power …

The carbon release and other nasty chemicals in making batteries and disposing of worn-out batteries, out-ways anything good than can come about by using them …

We will end up with electric and they will impose driving restrictions due to shortages of electricity all created to keep us from freely moving about … going ahead is all about control of the masses …

---------------------------UPDATE---------------------------
What so many people fail to realize is that there are two (2) dynamics going on here which on the surface seem unrelated which is our biggest mistake

World Oil Reserves
1,650,585,140,000 barrels
47 years of oil left
(at current consumption levels)
World Oil Statistics - Worldometer (worldometers.info)

This means, at current consumption all the known oil reserves will be sucked up and burned in 47 years.
Which means that the world’s major energy source will not be able to meet demand in 20+/- years.

If the world acts now to gradually switch from oil to renewables the transition will a peaceful one. If we do not do this, a world global fight will occur to control what oil is left. This will lead to WW3 which in itself will burn up what is left.

The term Armageddon comes to mind.
used in a generic sense to refer to any end of the world scenario.
Armageddon - Wikipedia

This may not concern you because you will not be around then; but your grandchildren will !!

Fighting climate change and discovering new renewable energy sources are fighting to achieve the same thing. The survival of the human race.

Which country do you believe is ahead of all others in the energy future?

China Aims to Spend at Least $360 Billion on Renewable Energy by 2020

China intends to spend more than $360 billion through 2020 on renewable power sources
like solar and wind, the government’s energy agency said on Thursday.

The country’s National Energy Administration laid out a plan to dominate one of the world’s fastest-growing industries

The agency said in a statement that China would create more than 13 million jobs in the renewable energy sector by 2020, curb the growth of greenhouse gasses that contribute to global warming and reduce the amount of soot that in recent days has blanketed Beijing and other Chinese cities in a noxious cloud of smog.

China surpassed the United States a decade ago as the world’s biggest emitter of greenhouse gasses, and now discharges about twice as much. For years, its oil and coal industries prospered under powerful political patrons and the growth-above-anything mantra of the ruling Communist Party.

2017 China Electric Car Sales Blow World Out Of The Water — BAIC EC-Series Is A Superstar

The rise and rise of the Chinese plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) market is unstoppable, with yet another record performance in December. A total of 102,000 new passenger PEVs were registered last month, up 130% year over year. Yes, that was just December, and it pulled the year-to-date count to over 600,000 units, up 71% compared to 2016.

As consequence of this rapid growth, in December, the PEV share hit a record 3.3% market share of the entire Chinese auto market, while the entire 2017 PEV market share ended at 2.1%. That’s firmly ahead of last year’s score (1.5%) and above the USA (1.2%) and Europe (~1.9%).

The Chinese PEV market represented roughly half of the 1.2 million plug-ins sold worldwide in 2017, while Chinese carmakers made 47% of all PEVs sold last year.

I know what that one is about. There are a lot of geologists out there in the oil fields. They're drilling engineers, basically or oil company executives. The whole entire question and worry over whether oil reserves are limited or not hinges on an argument about the worldwide flood, reported in Genesis. If all the oil as well as coal and natural gas was deposited at once in a 40 day and night event which will not be repeated per the rainbow promise to Noah, then fossil fuel supplies are finite. If they were deposited gradually and by another, ongoing process, then they are not.
