God. Why create?

God is complete and perfect in every way.
Holy. Just. Pure.

God needed nothing before and needs nothing now. He was complete in every possible way and is complete.

So why did he create anything?

I think it has not to do with Him but his creation
there is more than we will ever know on this side

I guess I'm having issues with God being complete, but in order to be complete he had to create?
So was He complete?

If God had not created could he still be God?

Yeah even trying to formulate this question is beyond what I can put into words properly.

Creating is part of Gods will. So before the creation was he fully God since the creation had not occurred?

If God is sitting there in eternity past in His triune nature (father, second person, holy spirit) and in complete union and holy relationship with himself with that and that alone is he really complete? God doesnt need anything, but he needs to create in order to show love or else he is only showing love within the triune state and that state alone. Nothing would know He was God if only He himself only ever existed except Himself.

Isn't the Genesis account a story written for the people of the time?
They had no concept of science.
Indeed the word hadn't been used back then.

No. It is history.

The Genesis account is history?
Explain please?
Is Job a real story or a parable?
Did Jonah really live in the belly of a fish for 3 days?
"Spare the rod and spoil the child" mean physical punishment?
God created all we know in 6 literal 24 hour days?
Noah built an ark that looked like a boat and loaded a pair of ALL critters
on it for 40 days?
Really?
Perhaps look up "parable" and learn it's meaning.
Clue: It ain't literal.
Well I guess fundamentalists still exist in this day and age.
Some Christians { sic } still pass around a basket of rattlesnakes to demonstrate
"faith" in God.
Some Christians march with signs saying "God hates fags".:sermon:
Be advised that there are at least 33,000 denominations of Christians.:bible:
Most feel their denomination is the only one and true denomination.:amen:
33,000 known, recognized denominations of "Christians" all reading
the same book.:hysterical:
I'm shooting from the hip here but I'll hazard a guess some of the 33,000
denominations might have a few things wrong.
Six literal days of creation huh?
Eaten by a fish and 3 days later is alive and well?
"Spare the rod" means beat your kids with a stick?:bonk1:
History?
Wow.
I posit that reading the Bible is NOT Bible STUDY.
STUDY the Bible does not mean read it.
Recall 33,000 denominations of Christians all reading the same book.
Here; for consideration:
STUDY means.........................
  1. the devotion of time and attention to acquiring knowledge on an academic subject, especially by means of books:
Just sitting in a church and reading the Bible does not make one a Christian any more than sitting in a chicken coop makes one a chicken.:puke:
Rebuttal please?

I like that.^^^^
I can't even wrap my mind around what God's nature really is.
The Bible says God created human in His image.
Not a physical image but with the innate power of emotion, especially LOVE.
Are we humans not curious?
Do we not create, explore, investigate?
I'm not bragging but please listen.
I was 48 when I started college. I earned two degrees while working full time, carrying
a full class schedule and raising a family.
Stupid I ain't.
I could dismiss any concept of "God" but something inside me just knows
there is a Power greater than man.
Prove that concept?
I can't.
I just believe.

Christianity is a knowing religion. We can prove enough to know there is no other possible explanation.

Some call that the leap of faith.
