18:18-21 Why was this done, why did God want Jehoshaphat killed in this way specifically and who was the spirit?
19:1-3 Can someone help explain this to me a little better, maybe it would help to reflect the war that just previously happened?

Yes Ahab. Why did God want to entice Ahab into battle to be killed in battle, whats the significance?
Plus the other questions :) thanks.

Ahab the scoundrel ... reigned Israel for 22 years.
1 Kings 16:33
1 Ahab also made an Asherah pole and did more to provoke the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger than did all the kings of Israel before him.
His 400 prophets were prophets of Baal. ... notice the animosity between Micaiah and Ahab. ... Micaiah and Zedekiah. ... this was not their first go around.
You have two choices here; Either it was as in Job, where we get a look at the accusing spirit before the throne of God, or we have a prophet Micaiah giving Zedekiah and the false prophets a bit of their own medicine. You can't help feeling the tension here. I lean towards the latter but would yield to more in-depth study on this.
Ahab was going to war despite being warned he would be killed.
2 Chronicles 19:1-3
1 When Jehoshaphat king of Judah returned safely to his palace in Jerusalem,
2 Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king, “Should you help the wicked and love[fn1] those who hate the Lord? Because of this, the wrath of the Lord is upon you.
3 There is, however, some good in you, for you have rid the land of the Asherah poles and have set your heart on seeking God.”
Jehoshaphat's son had married Ahab's daughter. That might account for him having anything to do with Ahab.
He had also taken down the Asherah poles, the same poles that Ahab had erected.
