Where in the bible does it teach that there is an age of accountalbilty?
Not just opinion , but scripture to back it up. Its one thing to say God wouldent send children to hell , but where is there real solid proof?
I ask this question because the question came up last night in bible study , most of the people in my home group have been christians the majority of their lives , and age of accoutability is something they all believe but it was said we should be careful to not just believe something because its what we want to believe but we should have scripture to back it up.

The phrase is not in the Bible. It is like Trinity, the adding together of many teachings.
Start with:
Romans 7
7What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "Do not covet."[b (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=romans%207&version=NIV#fen-NIV-28084b)] 8But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from law, sin is dead. 9Once I was alive apart from law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died. 10I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death.
Law is knowledge of sin.
Even though all are born sinners with sin nature it takes knowing it is sin for the law to condemn someone.
That includes the Law of Conscience.
So, the issue is when does on reach the point they know they should not do that because it is wrong? Not just do it because it will get them in trouble, but wrong to do?
Some reach it pretty young and other never reach it due to not possessing the ability to know.
So one is born sinful in nature and sins. But as Paul said, without knowledge the sin is dead, meaning one is not accountable.
Now, when they die in such as state the die sinful but are not accountable, thus not judged and condemned for their sins.
So, like with the Rapture, the born-again go but not the Innocent because they are still sinful, repentant and cleansed.
Same principle in our courts. One has to be found able to understand the charges against them to be judged and sentenced for a crime.

What about some of those sick minded adults that think what they do is not wrong even though everyone tells them it is they think theres nothing wrong with them or their actions. I'm talking about the mentally sick who are locked up or should be. Its really creepy to hear them talk in interviews and they truely believe theres nothing wrong with what they did, partly why they have no problem openly confessing.

They burn because in believing it is not wrong they demonstrate they have a sense of right and wrong.
Innocents don't 'get' the concept of right and wrong.
