Why is it that certain denominations insist that baptism is in the name of Jesus only (Pentacostal)? When it is clearly stated by our Savior Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19 to baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. I understand that Peter in Acts said to baptize in the name of Jesus Christ and Paul throughout different parts of his epistles says to also baptise in the name of Jesus Christ. Can anyone provide clarity on this?

Because they don't believe in a Trinity of personages in God. They believe that God sometimes is Christ, sometimes is the Holy Spirit and sometimes is the Father. That he moves between modes, thus Modalism.
Jesus Only and a few others, some in Pentecostalism and some not have that belief.
Some also believe the Father is the mind of God, Christ the body and the Holy Spirit his spirit, thus components of One God Only.
In Acts 2:38 he says in the name of Jesus Christ to receive the Holy Spirit. The Father accepts the offering of Christ and thus the Holy Spirit is sent. So, while all the names are not listed they are all included in the process for the forgiveness of sin.
Baptizing in the names of all 3 do not spell out the process, thus all are listed.
Other places do not say in the name of but into Christ. When born again we are made brothers and one with Christ.
Context needs to be considered.
Wow I learned something from this thread. Thank you for sharing some insight on this. :) very very cool.
