The denial of the doctrine of a literal millennium with Christ ruling upon the earth is plainly taught in both the Old and New Testaments is just the beginning of the confused eschatology that is amillennialism.

Amillennialism is stuck with prophetic material like the book of Revelation so it simply denies it's literal meaning and re-interpret it according to their own pre-conceived theology.

. . . few understand that Augustine conjured up amillennialism to defend Christianity from Roman criticism after the sack of Rome in 410AD.

Please show Christ on an earthly throne, in Jerusalem, in the book of Revelation.

If you can't, then who's doing the twisting of the literal meaning to make fit their pre conceived theology?

In the meantime, chew on this: Jerusalem...the one in national Israel....is never mentioned in the Book of Revelation. So much for the pre mill literal interpretation, huh?

The MK is described in Rev 20; Isaiah 65 and Eze 40-48 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Rev%2020;%20Isaiah%2065;%20Eze%2040-48;&version=49;)

Do you realize that amillennialism is a decidedly Catholic doctrine?

. . . are you Catholic?

If not, why not consider signing up for RCIA?

No mention of Christ on an earthly throne in REV 20.
No mention of Christ on an earthly throne in Isa 65.
No mention of Christ on an earthly throne in Ezekiel.

In order for you to show an earthly MK reign, you need Christ on an earthly throne.

Tell me with a straight face that the current church age is really the millennium kingdom.

As I stated before.....and you have yet to respond....John was IN the kingdom in REV 1:9.

Re 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

You have 4 threads going on amill and you're looking foolish on all of them.

You are correct!

. . . we need more, many more.

Amillennialism is the portal to the mother lode of BAD THEOLOGY:

Paint to match, stretch to fit Christianity.
