Hey, so I masturbate like 1 maybe 2 times a week and I wanted to know if this would be considered wrong in gods eyes? I would also like to know, if you can masturbate and still be celibate? I don't plan on having actual intercourse until I am married but I don't want this messing up my chances of living a celibate life. I am getting more and more into Christianity and I want to know all the facts. I tried looking on Google and it was such a big mixture of replies I figured I would go to a Christian site and ask them. So there is my question and tell me what you think. If it is wrong or sinful, does stopping make you less sinful? Is there a chance that God will forgive me if I stop and can wait until I'm married? Please help me. I am confused and just want to know.

Well someone may be able to give you scripture on this but I would say it goes against being pure and if one wants to know God and to become more what He made us to be that calls for being pure. I would say it does violate the body.

If you believe in all your heart Jesus was the Messiah, the Christ, Gods only Son and our Lord than thats the first step. After that God will help you to see yourself the way He sees you and He does work in our conscious as well as through His Word.

So if this is at all bothering your conscience or makes you question with wondering if this or anything else is a sin, I would guess thats God trying to directly talk to you and open your eyes. Once ones eyes are opened they can see their sin and because they know God they will feel bad for their sin. So they will stop and ask for forgiveness, and repentance will take place and take time to basically prove how sorry you are by not doing the sin again. This is where that saying comes into place "actions speak louder than words". Thats what I think of when I struggle with myself to do the right thing and that gets me moving or to keep going.

When things get hard you can always pray to God and have others pray for you and pray from your heart and He will help you get through your sin.

The bible says if one cannot control themselves they should marry. I know someone here could post just where that scripture is , I think somewhere in Corinthians

The problem with masterbation is the lustful thoughts that go with it.

does stopping make you less sinful? We are all sinful , but stopping would make you obedient.

God will forgive you now , if its a real stuggle for you , tell him that , he will help . We all struggle with something.

Hey, I came across your thread, and thought I might be able to help you.

Word for you:
Here is a scripture from Colossians, NIV
> Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.
Colossians 3v1-7

And here is a scripture from Romans, NIV
> Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the spirit have their minds set on what the spirit desires.
Romans 8v5

I Hope That Helped :)
God Bless

Yep, live as if Christ is right beside you, which He is in a way. Tough in a sinful world and we will struggle with sin until we are changed in incorruptible bodies.
Good verses and welcome to CTZ aprilallwood
