My husband researched it on the net for me the other day and found that the book Song of Songs is not in other versions of the bible. Why is that?

Which ones?

It is not in the Jewish Tanakh, but that isn't a Christian Bible.

In some it is called the Song of Solomon and the RCC Duay calls it Chronicles of Chronicles or something like that.
