View Full Version : God, Science, the Gap

I'm really into art from drawing to writing music and lyrics, and even short essays. Here's some short response i wrote for someone once i'd like to post here. It's a "Help People Understand through a Non-Bias View" Essay, haha. NOTE: I am NOT preaching that evolution and creationism co-exist, there's only one absolute.

God, Science, The Gap - by Christian

(Theory)

I'll avoid strict detail in this article. My goal is to provide a simplistic veiw on the mind boggling differ between the basics Creation and Evolution.
The gap between God and Science can be explained with the simple idea that God created Science. Creating a "Why?" in which humans can only speculate based on personal experience and society's petty influence on wat the Standard of Logic is.

How did things come to be? Even Evolution can't explain how the energy came to be before the Big Bang. In fact, Science itself says "Energy cannot be created nor destroyed." This helps me derive a very simple answer.

Just as a force will cause an equal opposing force, another mind boggling logic is: "How can you tell what nothing is unless you have something, or vice versa, arne't both needed to exist?" I think so.

There is everything, and there is nothing. Energy pre-exists everywhere, and human's being are conscious. We also have the ability to learn, grow and progress. Where am i going with this? Easy:

All things are either God, or Nothing. God is in every cell on this planet, from your body to your computer. Proof that He is conscious is as simple as looking in a mirror.

If God was not all knowing, and sharing it with us, we'd have no ability to learn or know anything. If God's time was not infinate, we would not have any set time or run out of time. Why are we are? The best speculation in my oppinion is life is a gift from God.

If God is perfect in rights and understand, while we are in a shell with limited ability in which we should make the best of, it is obvious God is always right rather we like it or not. And that's the ONLY pre-determined fact of life we have to be mature and Accept. Our Logic means nothing unless it's parallel to His. Considering Science and Religion and Possibility and my Logic, haha.

Sin exists to protect us, not bind us, and is as simply explainable as the direct use of Free Will to use God's gift of existance in an ill-mannered way.

The most important aspect of God is a personal relationship; to be one with our being. In life it's what we make of our mistakes, that determine if we are good, for as He alone has the ability to be perfect. I even believe it's plenty logical that through Him all is possible, and He indeed may have left us a Perfect Book of guidence. I think so. Can't really prove either way, and this sounds better to me.
Free will is the gap that allows human error, the only way to fix that, is Faith.

Thats good Christian. Also can I add that?... And faith is taking that first step to knowing Him and knowing Him will prove to be reality not just a belief.

Sorry I have been talking to many Atheists recently.

I feel ya i've talked to a lot too. Athiesm is pretty well either direct undereducation OR directly some anger/hate problem towards religion. It's pretty well a joke. AGNOSTICs however; i can understand a little better. At least recognizing the provable fact there has to be 'some god' and of course the Bible says we have all the proof we need here on earth so there is proof. Which again is why i say some people chose to selectively deny reality for their own personal gain or anguiush that they blame on God instead of the real culprit, or thereselves. God's just chillin there hopin' with his arms wide open.

Just as a force will cause an equal opposing force, another mind boggling logic is: "How can you tell what nothing is unless you have something, or vice versa, arne't both needed to exist?" I think so.
Nothing is the total absence of everything. So we cannot comprehend it.

In the deepest darkest depths of space where there is not a single particle of matter and potentially no energy there is still space. Space is something.

We cannot picture the absence of even a place for something to be. Not dark, not empty, not small, and not large. Just not there or even a place to be.

It can be articulated but it cannot be perceived or conceived. Nor does it require the existence of something.
Sin exists to protect us, not bind us, and is as simply explainable as the direct use of Free Will to use God's gift of existance in an ill-mannered way.
This needs some refining. The ability to sin is essential to existence of freewill. There must be the ability to sin to be able to willing choose God.

Sin does not protect us.

God did not create evil or sin. Evil is the ability to disobey God. Sin is the act of disobeying.

Good ideas, just a bit rough with a little lack of clarity. Work on it. :tiphat: It is a very good presentation style I have found every effective with some people.

There's an immense gap in the difference between how the universe and life was created and how life evolved. Evolution is how life evolved, please don't lump it in with the other two.

Also, how exactly is looking into a mirror proof of God? Surely it just proves that you and the mirror exist.

As i stated in another thread, you can not understand how a person can knows God personally and needs no evidence that God is real, He dwells in the believer.

There is no such thing as evolution Biblically and there is absolutely no proof scientifically.

In fact, science, when the faith element of the just seeing life around us demands it happens is rejected as proof, when actually applied, rejects evolution, humanistic ally or theistically.
Evolution is how life evolved, please don't lump it in with the other two.
Absolutely no evidence life evolved.
Also, how exactly is looking into a mirror proof of God? Surely it just proves that you and the mirror exist.
It is proof since there is no scientific reason for anything to exist for any reason. That leaves creation by a superior being, which is God, since God exists for no reason.

That is what evolutionists cannot deal. They cannot explain why anything exists. There had to be a causeless cause, which defies science.

'God is in every cell on this planet, from your body to your computer.'

This must mean he dwells in me, a nonbeliever. Why would he allow such a thing?

That is Pantheism, which holds the universe to be god.

Absolutely no evidence to back that. Talk about a faith statement and belief.

I Believe in God and True Science, For True Science is the Gathering of Facts, If You Consider All The Facts Then you will see Gods Handy work in Many Places. If God Does Not Exist , Then no Facts Exist about that Assumption, If There are then Therefore No Facts, Then Proving He Does Not exist Can Not Be Made, For ther are No Facts to Support such a Claim, I believe in The Big Bang. BaBoom Bang God Did it, The Evidence is Everywhere, Plenty of Facts. Look For The truth and you will end up looking at God, and enjoying He's awesomeness. I am Struck with Amazement When I consider His Works. Wow

I believe there was a Big Bang. The War in Heaven in Genesis 1:2.

But for creation? No. God made it all perfect immediately.

well then how do you explain the 200 million years if dinosaures whoes dead bodies you burn in your gas tank. ? ever seen or handled a dino fossil, their carcauses all scattered all over the earth. it takes a long time for a planet to cool down after being birthed, to devolpe and sustain life. The old planet earth has been here a long long time. long enough to create giant pools of oil beneath its surface from 1000 of years to acheive the deposits we take for granted and run our cars and trucks on it every day.
Allot of Christians Make the Assumption that God Created the Whole Deal in 6 days in a Row Back to Back. It does not say that.
He very well could have done one day / Event let it settle for a 1000 Years then Started the second event called the second day. Then Waited for a Million Years to Start Event # 3 The Third Day.

Ah, Theistic Evolutionist, I see.

They existed in a Pre-Adamic world. There is a thread on CTZ, please read it. That was destroyed in Genesis 1:2, which was followed by the 6 (24 hour) Days.

By the way, the world for original creation is used in Genesis 1:1. Thereafter is the word means reshaping what already exists.

Read the Pre-Adamic thread. Proofs and word definitions are stated there. It does say 6 literal days, but they do not include the 1st and 2nd verse.

There is 0 statement of any dino or related life forms anywhere in the Bible. 0 scientific evidence of the coexistence of any forms listed with dinos.

But there is evidence of Pre-Adamic life and civilization. Read the thread mentioned.

The Bible says he finished on the 6th Day. Not that creation was ongoing.

Yes, plate tectonics and such began at the dividing of the land at the time of Peleg. But that has nothing to do with creation.

Genesis 1:1 says he created the Heavens and the earth, then. Verse 2 says it became void and without form. Became means moved from the perfect to the corrupted state. The Bible says what God creates is perfect. The Big Bang and evolution is far from perfection.

Does not add up Biblically to believe in the Big Bang. Actually, it is a process that will not work on its own. Even science knows that and tries to add plasma helices and such to compensate for gravitational and other issues that a straight Big Bang cannot handle.
