In the OT it talks of a person being an enuch. What does that mean?

I believe a eunuch was a person who --for one
reason or another-- had no sex organ with which to
procreate, thus they would dedicate their lives to
religion. And that would involve much studying
of the Scriptures. They might also be servants
to certain authorities.

Said authorities would hire them for whatever
because they could be trusted around the
women, obviously.
