I’m new here and I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sarah.

Some of my favorite artists include The Newsboys, Relient K and Superchick. I am an avid music fan and always on the lookout for new Christian music. I would love to know what new artists everyone here is into or recently found to share their insights. I always feel people’s choice of music is a good reflection of their character and I always let the power of the music speak to me.

Just yesterday, I stumbled upon this new artist from Chicago named Megan Krantz (http://www.myspace.com/megankrantzmusic) wanted to share her with you all my new discovery.

Her song “Broke Thru” really spoke to me, and I admire her relationship with God. Please reply back with any other new Christian artists so that I may continue to find some new great music. I’m very grateful for anything anyone recommends here. Have a truly beautiful blessed day everyone!

In Christ,
Sarah

I listened to that link for that girl named Megan. Her voice sounds a lot like another artist out there I have heard on the radio. Not a Christian one though. I think that one song called "Big Girls Don't Cry", whoever sings that song. I don't like that song but my daughter does. I do know its a new song on the radio though; kinda pop but not, a slow song.

I like hymns that are done in now a day styles I guess I want to say. I like the words of the hymns. I don't listen to much Christian music because I just don't like the style. A lot of them talk about feelings and not much about God so I would hardly call them Christian songs but they are on the Christian radio stations. Once in awhile I will listen to a Christian radio station but not too often.

I really like the old time Christian music that sounds similar to blue grass but not quite. Need to be in the mood for it though. I have no idea what that style is called. I don't know any Christian artists that play the style of music I like with biblical words and not just feelings. I don't know. If I listen to Christian music I guess I want it to be about God not myself. I have found Christian music searching kinda frustrating so I just listen to whatever I like on the radio and doesn't go against God and most of it is not Christian. Maybe you can help me with this. I don't really like any of the above artists mentioned.

I've found some great bands as well like Dogwood that aren't afraid to use their own unique punk styles for God, etc. Also music in general can be a saving thing even if preticular bands don't claim to be 'Christian's' keep an open mind and love everyone and learn, si?
