NOTE: This short summary is from Crosswalk: Religion Today Summaries
that I get in my email .....

According to the Christian Post, the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of California now directly encourages same-sex couples to seek a church union. The Rt. Rev. Marc Handley Andrus released a letter on Monday urging clergy to encourage all couples - including same-sex couples - to seek the blessing of the Episcopal Church as the California diocese works for the "full inclusion" of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people. Last September the Episcopal Church decided not to authorize public rites of the blessing of same-sex unions, at least not until a broader consensus emerges in the global Anglican Communion or the Episcopal General Convention takes a definitive stance. "Although The Episcopal Church does not have canonical rites for same-sex marriage, it is our goal that all couples be treated equally by the Church, as they are equally loved by God," Andrus said in his letter.

The Episcopal Church, among many others, is an Apostate denomination in my eyes.

See this is a good example where people want to blindly have unity. Like I said in another thread; we can't seek unity with others that hurt Christ in the process. We as Christians know their is much scripture talking against gay or anything in the same boat. It would not please God for us to have unity with those that disgrace the church in such a way. If a nonbeliever wants to be gay; so be it; God will judge them. But those within the church that want to be gay; forget it, we are allowed to judge those within.

Also, to add to the phenomena of ministers embracing homosexuality, Jay Bakker, son of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker Messner is now a gay-affirming pastor. Do a google search on him and see what he's been up to lately. He has joined forces with SoulForce, a gay and lesbian "chrisitan" organization, and has been going with them to the churches in an attempt to get the churches to accept them. It's really a form of passive aggressive demonstration. Some churches they have targeted are Joel Osteen's church, Bill Hybel's church, Rick Warren's church, and a couple of others. I think the idea is that if they can get acceptance in the megachurches they will have a foot in the door and other smaller churches will follow.

Times keep growing darker and darker, and deception is growing daily.
