Don't we see how patience is disappearing? Whether its driving road rage or waiting in line; this is making people down right mean. Hmm lets see what else ties into this; selfishness. It can be a real test for us Christians to stay calm and bite our tongues in certain situations. LOL I feel people of the world test us Christians more than God ever tests us.

Self control of the world is on the rise turning into hasty decisions in many cases sadly end in murder. Every day I see new stories in the Grand Rapids Press ofnstuff like this.

This guy in GR was following this woman in a car and kept tapping her bumper with his. She finally got out of her car to yell at him what his problem was and he drove up to her and smashed her like a sandwich in between her car and his. She rolled in between the two cars like you would play dough in between your hands to make a snake. She felt her pelvis breaking into pieces. She had kids in her car and so did he. Than he drove off. Well they found him and it is now in court. He said he did this all because of your "usual road rage" and drove off after he did this to this woman because he was afraid of by standers who by the way did come to the womans rescue. This is awful and minor compared to other things I read of. :(

Patience or long suffering, as the bible calls it, is one of the virtues we are to work on as we grow in Christ. 2 Peter 1:6

It gets crazier and crazier and i suspect it will only get worse. Wait till fuel prices get o high that the truckers shut down and the store shelves go empty, or the power goes off or a water shortage. Then people will really turn into animals with no concern for anyone but themselves.
If we are here for times like that then that`s when our faith will hold us together but we shouldn`t be like dumb sheep being led to slaughter either. I think we should be preparing for the worse and praying for the best, stock up on some food and be prepared to defend yourself.
The defend yourself part is only my opinion, it may not be for everyone and if your ok with that that`s your right.
We are living in crazy times and we don`t know what`s going to happen next and there doesn`t seem to be much we can do to change things. We don`t watch national news much anymore because it`s too depressing, we try and stay positive and plant seeds when we can.
Only God knows how close we are to the rapture and things have gone up and down in the world forever so what can we do but trust God and pray for the world and those on it.

I've already got road rage  so I need to take a deep breath and chill. But, I can say honestly that I'm better than I ever was.

 Thank x. I personally have been working on humbling myself for the past year but in times of hard testing I still need to work on it and I have to pray every day for the Lord to give me the things I need to be able to do it. I cannot on my own by any means. When I think of this I am so thankful for all the hard times because I think that is Gods way of shaping and molding me. LOL they are like exercises for practice! Those difficulties have given me so much good when it comes to battles and focusing on Him alone through them. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I know exactly what your talking about with fuel prices! My cousin is a truck driver for himself and spends about $1200 a month on fuel, sometimes more. Depending how many trucks he has going on the road. Some trucks I believe take close to that to fill them but I might be wrong. Car sales are down and major car companies are taking measures to slap the buyer with more costs so they don't go out of business and in turn there are less buyers. And back to the trucks with food and drought coming on the way with summer. Your right the list goes on and we have no idea where its going but we have an idea if things keep heading in this direction.

Your right having that solid rock foundation with Christ to get through it.

I see what the guys were talking about with things getting set up for easy access for the future AC. When, who knows, but things are setting the stage.

Patience is a needed thing. It can aid in resolving many things.

But patience at all cost turns into a tool of abuse for those who expect you not to do anything in any way in return.

The old balance in all things issue again.

As in bumping another car. That can get someone killed, so it isn't trivial.

people are getting more pushy rude, selfish,

and too if its patience at all costs, then one would become masochistic,
and thats not a good thing.

I meant with the example of the car rage with siding with the woman. That guy could of and would of murdered her over road rage. He let his lack of patience get that bad to where he followed her, harassed her and smashed her with his car never minding who or where he was. Lack of patience makes people of the earth lose control over themselves. Some more severe than others.

And no, walking all over someone and patience are two different things.

There are women at the courthouse who constantly take our parking places. We have only one row reserved for us, and they have a HUGE parking lot down at the courthouse to park in, and they take our spots. Therefore, we have to park on the street, or across the street, or whereever we can find a spot. There is even a sign there that says that "This row is reserved for Blah, Blah, Blah only!" They ignore it.

I can't tell you the times me and my coworkers have wanted to ram their cars when we pull in and see them parked there. One of my bosses said, "If I had a ball bat I'd take it to that car!!!"

I mean it, I've sat there with my foot on my brake wanting to ram them soooooo bad. But, I never have, and I never will. The Lord tells me to anger and sin not...and so I never give way to it.

BUT I WANT TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, as you can see, we can all benefit in some way or other by learning more patience. And I will, too....just as soon as I ram that little red sportscar's muffler into it's carborator!!!!

Nah...j/k j/k j/k!!!!!

For your own health, learn the art of chilling out. Stress will only lead you to an early grave. Think of the exercise you are getting doing a little extra walking from your courthouse parking lot.

May I suggest a complaint to your Code Enforcement, traffic police, City/County Manager or whichever department has charge over this area? :tiphat:

They've been reported more than once, nothing gets done.

The point is, I shouldn't have to walk when they have a whole HUGE parking lot to park in, and they take our spaces. Not nice.

We've decided to take a picture of the "reserved" sign and put them on each offender's windshield every time they do it. Maybe they'll get the hint.

If not, I can always key their paint.

Now I really am just kidding! :bubbles:

Hmmm. How about reporting it to a Council/Commission Member you trust? They can make it happen.

We gotta learn the art of just chilling man. For the sake of your own health (both mental and physical), learn to not take stuff to heart so much. Stress is the killer. Being in tis life in this world is like having to spend a few nights in a bad hotel. Don't let it ruin your journey. We are headed home in the end. We let things build up inside us and it really dampens the joy, the bible commands us to have.
ITW in particular...you have so many gifts talents and capibilities. I wish I had a tenth of your artistic and handy abilities. Concentrate on those, bringing joy to others. No doubt about it. The world is in a terrible state right now, with all that is going on. That is Gods problem!!! Enjoy the life he has given YOU.
Please accept these words in the spirit they are intended. I want to encourage you!

all the best...

I totally agree with what you just said and thanks for the kind words. :tiphat:
My opinion is that you joke around a little too much, a little here and there helps a lot but sometimes ya need to understand it may not be so easy for some people to be as calm and collect as you.
You flat out and insult us at times in regard to our country and politics and It bothers me a lot. You seem to be a great guy and i think your intentions are good just tone it down a little ok.
Some of us are going through hard times and are very discouraged and don`t need to be told everything is great don`t worry all the time.
See both sides.

patience : I have no choice but to be patient. I fell in love with a woman from Cuba and I am a Canadian . I am waiting for my documents to come back from the Cuban embassy here in toronto so I can return to Cuba in August to get married. I am waiting to get into my new apatment the end of July and staying with my sister and her husband till then. I just changed jobs and must drive 100 miles every day till I get moved into my new apartment. I have all my belongings in storage and I had to take a bank loan to help pay all these costs. I was about to be fired from my employer of 32 years for to much time off. I have been on my knees every day for hours and cried my eyes out because I miss my fiance so much. Patience and putting it all in God's hands wow man this is by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I need a miracle to pull off all that is rquired of me in the next month. Any help anyone could suggest I would be grateful. I am not afraid to say the enemy attacks my mind with full force . I believe he wants to stop me at all costs
