Maybe its just me but if they dont want help, and actually refuse it who are we to impose it on them?

Is it that difficult for people to accept the fact that these regimes and mentalities still exist?

You cant help people who refuse to be helped. Why is this so hard to accept and understand? We should be there for full support when they ask certainly, but until then...I say let them be.

It is like sinking billions into Africa for AIDS when they will not change their ways.

Some just blind themselves to reality and don't know when to write off hopeless causes.

If they are not willing to overthrow a government who would let them die rather than give up any control or influence they are beyond help.

It's hard for us to understand it without living there but many do want help. Their government won't let them get the help. I think the people are too weak and over come with disease to have much energy to fight their government. Many countries are sickened by their government. Also so many of these people live this because this is all they have ever known. They are suspicious of everyone on the outside. This is how their government controls them is by filling their heads with fear constantly about everything. I wish we could send a missionary to show them a bible in their own language. Than they wouldn't be afraid any more. It is so sad, but God sent that cyclone for something.

Rice and water rice and water; we are so lucky here. Even if we only have $40 for groceries for a week for our family. And water! We are so lucky for this. We can give thanks to God for the things we have and pray for these people that are stuck and living in fear.
