Peace be still

I once watched a movie called Jesus camp. In it the guy on the radio
ask the woman who ran the camp “Why are you brainwashing these kids
into believing in Jesus. Shouldn’t you wait until they are old enough
to decide for them selves and not mention anything about Jesus or
religion to them. He continued- you are making them believe in Jesus
while they are too young to know any better. It is not fair to the
kids, because you are not allowing them to make their own choices.” My
response to this guy would have been “If this woman is leading them to
Christ than what difference does it make in the way they got saved.
That would be like saying to someone that is on a runaway train that is
headed toward a bridge that is out, Are you sure you want me to save
you and take you off this train, it has to be your choice. Of course to
stay on the train would mean certain death. Do you think the people on
the train would say to me, “ let me think about it first”. Or if you
saw a young boy playing on a busy freeway, would you say to yourself, I
think I will wait until he is old enough to decide for himself whether
he wants to get off the freeway or not. The heathen would say {That is
not the same thing }. I would say, what if that child grows up and
becomes a criminal and gets into drugs and alcohol and then dies
without Jesus when you had the chance to lead him down the path of
righteousness as a youth from the beginning. I think the unsaved say
these things Like “let them decide for themselves” because they are
inspired by Satan to say what he wants them to say. The devil knows
that if he can keep them from hearing about Jesus as youths, then maybe
they will have time to turn to a life of sin and be one of his instead
of God’s. I think we should teach our children about what Jesus did
for us as soon as they or old enough to comprehend! Believe it or not
but some people would read this letter and say “you monster’ you are
going to scar these children for life if you tell them of Jesus’ death
when they are too young. I would say they don’t know what they are
talking about. When the Gospel becomes offensive to anyone for any
reason, they are working against God and against His Word. Children are
very impressionable when they are young, that is the best time to tell
them the truth of the gospel because they will accept it more easily
then when they become older. I really would like to know if anybody
here feels the same way I do about this. Lee
