View Full Version : John McCain
Ann was not fooled by McCain's straight-talk talk. . . in addition to diagnosing McCain as a deceiver, Ann devastatingly explained why:
Of course, I might lie constantly too, if I were seeking the Republican presidential nomination after enthusiastically promoting amnesty for illegal aliens, Social Security credit for illegal aliens, criminal trials for terrorists, stem-cell research on human embryos, crackpot global warming legislation and free speech-crushing campaign-finance laws.
I might lie too, if I had opposed the Bush tax cuts, a marriage amendment to the Constitution, waterboarding terrorists and drilling in Alaska.
And I might lie if I had called the ads of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth 'dishonest and dishonorable.'

Some things he says are right on the money. Others won't touch it.
But some things, wow.

It may be a tough choice this time around, but a lot could happen between now and voting time to change ones mind.

QUESTION: All I have been hearing/reading lately
in regards to the Republican race is about
McCain and Romney. Nothing more about
Huckabee??
My question then is, how long after McCain is
elected (if he is to be) would he give Iran one
single warning??
This guy is scary, folks!
Too gung ho for my liking! I mean, Cheney
may as well be elected to the oval office!

Where he really bothers me is on illegals. Way to soft.

Illegal immigrants.

I'm shocked. The way he is so tough on
everybody else, I would think he'd be
hardline toward the illegals.
Then again, he is a senator of Az, and
it is quite possible that he and his family
have been threatened, and seeing as how
they live right there on the border, he
may be talking sweet in order to protect
them. As people get older, they tend to
look out for their family members a lot
more, so that they will have the chance
to grow up, rather than be gunned down.
It just boggles the mind how he can be
so nice to a people who are known to
infiltrate the US borders and cause
such havoc, with no regard to
human decency!

I personally have no problem sharing our freedom with people from other countries, but they better be thankful and have respect for Americans and at least make good attempts to speak English. Now the illegal immigrants are straight up stealing from Americans and putting us in harms way and Cain supports that?

Amen, Amanda. I am shocked myself.
I actually LOVE the hispanic community, from
their attractive accents to their catchy music
to their loud clothes. LOL.
But the bad ones give the good ones a bad rep,
and the gov't cannot just pick and choose. It's
too difficult. Plus all the taxpayers' money paying
for the thousands of illegals in prison, as well.

 Yes the bad ones give the good ones a bad rep and our tax dollars going to prisons for illegals. A part of the reason also why our prisons run out of room. Also whats up with all the gangs? You wouldn't believe the huge problem there is just where I live and it is getting worse. I think a lot of illegals participate in gangs. So either McCain is blind to reality or he cares more about his family than our country; like was said before.
Also Edwards dropped out of the campaign.
At first McCain didn't seem popular and than all of a sudden he is getting more and more recognition; why is that?

As scary as this is to say, he may be
the favorite simply because those voting
for him are hoping that he'll invade Iran
shortly after being elected, as GW did
to Iraq.

Right illegal is illegal. Just talking about immigrants in general.

You talk about them as though they are contraband like shipments of drugs. These are human beings with souls, and ought to be afforded basic dignity as such. The native peoples that inhabited North America, could claim that you are illegal immigrants also, since you basically just swarmed in and hi-jacked the land. It always strikes as funny how things are different when the shoe is on the other foot. I would think, that in the great myriad of problems facing America, illegal immigrants are fairly small potatoes!

I agree with you Kaygee. Yes all people are human beings and that is why I do not mind by any means sharing anything I have with anybody. But people need to go about things the right way. If help is offered one should take it but one shouldn't steal help. I think that is the outline of the problem.

Not small potatoes. They are bancrupting us.
Hospitals and other essential services are closing because their drain is making them unable to continue.
You want them then open Canada's border! Ooooops! I forgot, Canada has one of the tightest immigration laws around and would kick them out immediately.
Want to ask Indians? Ask me. 50% Indian.

I believe it is important for North America to consolidate in much the same way as Europe has. Part of that process will Include Mexico, like it or lump it. As Asia becomes more and more of a force economically, we will have to find our strength in solidarity.

Nope. We don't need to merge with Canada and Mexico. We need to get our act together, here.

Hmmm. Does that include Canada dropping the subsidies that have closed a lot of our industries?
It would require massive changes to pull it off.
