My Pastor

Yesterday my Pastor said that anyone with a bad habit or something in there lives that they are not in control of can not call Jesus Lord with out being a Hipocrite. He said Jesus must be Lord of all your life .

Was wondering what you folks thought of this comment. I know what I think , I am accused of being to critcal of the Pastor

Then all Christians are hypocrits, including the pastor that made this statement.

Well all have failures in our lives, some of which are 'habits,' so to speak.

I would say that the pastor might of stepped on a slippery slope saying that. No, we all have a bad habit or other negatives in our lives. If one denies that they do, than they are liars. There is scripture some where that talks about it being impossible to be perfect and how only He is perfect. We can strive to be obedient but we do not have the control God does.

Yes it erked me that statement. I thought, all that statement will serve to do is to put
guilt on people . :grr:
