with a person who is dying or on their way, do they get a dark spirit over them?
I know its a hard time for them. but something sets wrong in the spiritual realm and I cant pinpoint it. I dont understand.

yes, they would get irritable or cranky but this one is intense, hidden but yet there.
one can feel evil.

My personal opinion is that dying is a process. Sometimes very fast and sometimes slow.

But the process starts letting go of this world and connecting to the next. So elements of where one goes starts 'leaking' through.

No proof I can offer. Just some I seem to 'feel' when around someone at that stage of life.

From your referencing evil, very well might be. Or a demon working to ensure they end up there.

I would think that yeah if one was going to live eternally with God and knew it, they would be very peaceful and tell us to not worry or weep over them and to be happy because they were going home.

If they were unsure of their state or knew they were going to the pit, yeah I would also say that they would become dark and it would leak out. One or the other would leak out.
