Job Discription for Pastors

At my church we are having a problem with members not knowing what the Pastor's job is. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I would say (but I do not know for sure) so better yet I would expect a pastor is one who gives sermons, has prayer with the congregation and from time to time be there for people who are a part of the church that have emergency issues with some support i.e. prayer or encouragement. But I think it depends to what detail the pastor feels God is calling them to do. Are they being called to be a teacher and a counselor for example? or...

I think some pastors are too lazy, while I see other pastors being taken advantage of. I would say the pastor needs to find out from God the details of what He wants them to do, not what the people want them to do. If God really called one to be a pastor than it shouldn't be that hard for the pastor to figure out details, but then again...
