Are the books that are in the bible in a certain order? If so what is the order; what is it; first to last? I suppose I am asking what is the purpose for the order? (hope I make sense)

Hmmm. Well, the first four books are the Gospels, when Christ lived on the earth under the Mosaic Law.

Acts is next because it shows the transition from Israel to Church. Romans follows and lays foundations.

The rest of the books, if I remember correctly, where placed in time written order. But to a large degree the Epistles could be in pretty much any order and still work.

Revelation is at the end for obvious reasons.
