O.K. My husband did the heli coil and it went great but now we have worse problems than before. The engine light comes on and you have to constantly push on the accelerator or the car automatically stalls. So when I brake I have to still push on the gas or when I slow down to a turn or park or anything it stalls. I have to push on the brake to slow down because I am going to fast for the speed limit and still at the same time to accelerate. The car shakes and vibrates very very bad and I smell something burning. A smell I have never smelled before. The smell seems to be coming from under the hood not the brakes. My husband put the heli in with his dad who knows a lot about cars and so I am sure they did it right but it it wasn't like this until after they did it. This problem is getting worse very fast. I think it's not getting gas easily but my husband disagrees. He has some quick things hes gonna try real quick and than I don't know. He sure is frustrated with it especially since his health isn't good at the moment so anything that comes to mind let me know. 1992 Cutlas Supreme with a standard v6 thats mounted in sideways if that helps at all. Any other info. I could ask him because I don't know too much about it myself. :tiphat:

Sounds like it`s missing bad and running rough, they didn`t forget too put that plug wire back on or get them mixed up.
Also the engine might have low compression which can only be checked by taking a compression test.
Pretty hard too diagnose from here, probably have too have it tunned up.
Never ends, i know, money, money and more money. :(

ITW with the compression test is'nt that part of the computer in the car?

No, you hook a gauge too each cylinder and turn the motor over and see how much compression each one has. Low compression will cause rough idling in which case ya have too set the idle up real high so it doesn`t die, which makes it hard too drive.
Could also be plug wires, plugs, carb problems if it has one.

ok got it!
I wonder if instead of a carb its injectors maybe causing the problem?

Another good possibility if it uses those.

Thank guys very much we will see where all this takes us. My husband says some of these he already did or knows its not that but he is going to see about the compression test and vacuum line. We might just get a new car. We will find out on Monday... I will let you guys know. There is one in particular, I am just worried about the super high car insurance we will have for sure and the super high interest rate we may have. Also worried about bills (look at me being worried. God has me and my family taken care of ;I need to stop worrying already!). I prayed to God and asked Him to guide us to the right place, right person and right car. The way it has worked out so far just seems like a work of God but we will see what Monday brings us...
