Call me a Fundamental Christian, if you like, but I believe
that if we don't wear our seat belt while driving, we have
a lot of nerve calling ourselves children of God.

I know that sounds rather strong, but that is how I feel.

How do we blatantly disregard a seatbelt law, which is
a law designed with our own safety in mind, and then brag
about how well we try our best to be the best person we
can be??

Does not the Holy Bible Admonish us to obey the government??

Who are we to just non-chalantly disobey a law that is literally
shouted out at us on billboards, road signs, and local TV ads ??!!

Seriously. Who are we??

There is not much in this world that upsets me more than seeing
a Christian not wear his/her seat belt, barring severe claustrophobia!!

I am uncomfortable wearing my seat belt sometimes. It seems to hold
tight against my shoulder. But removing it is not an option! Not at all.

Jesus Himself Told the devil that it is written that we are not to
tempt the Lord our God. Meaning don't jump off a high place just because
you believe the Lord's Angels will protect you. Don't golf in a thunderstorm ....

.. and don't drive without wearing a device which is time and again shown to
save lives in the event of a collision!

Sorry to rant here. I just wanted to get that off my chest.

tyvm, and God Bless.

Fundamentalist has taken on a meaning that is contrary to its true meaning.

By definition, all Bible only literalists, who are actually literalists, are fundamentalists.

But secular definition has twisted it into applying to the legalistic branches of Christianity that supposedly are Bible only when, in fact, they are not. They are very much Doctrinist.
