Yes that exorcism story was on CNN a couple of weeks ago and gave me chills and made me sick to my stomach. I just couldn't believe!!! Now they were demoned possessed for sure. They had to been of worshiping the devil nothing more. What was the blood on the mother from does anyone know? Enough for her to be hospitalized. Or was she just mentally sick and it was animals blood? Absolutely crazy and sick. No words can describe it. That poor poor child! Unbelievable! I just can't stomach the thought! :sob: No smilie can tell this one.

After listening to that second video this is my take on what being possessed really is. I believe that being possessed is really rare. I also believe that if one is performing an exorcism in Jesus's name it should be immediate; not take weeks or years. If they are really possessed and it takes that long than you must not be doing it right or you are encouraging the demon in some way. I also believe that even though the new testament does speak of some children being possessed it must be extremely rare since children are Gods for the taking. And whose to say at what age a child is still considered a child. We say until they are 18, but children lose their innocence way before that. Does puberty signify the end of being a child? I would assume so. Children would have to be pushed into worshiping the devil. I don't believe a child can just become possessed for no reason. I believe all possession is pushed in some way. And what is up with so many Catholics thinking about being possessed and thinking about ghosts and spirits. Its like they want these images to so much be true that they almost make it true. So many of them claim to see stuff and believe in hauntings for example in houses. I have felt wired things myself but never believed in ghosts. I worked in a funeral home for years alone late at night all the time and never seen or heard anything out of the ordinary and neither did anyone else that worked there. I was more afraid at leaving the funeral home late at night than anything else; the parking lot was always pitch black. I always felt calm and secure when inside. I hate to mention this but I was always around the deceased with open caskets and yes sometimes they were children or babies. The idea seems to be more popular with the Catholic religion than any other. Yes the demon possessed does exist it is just really rare. And I believe with us being Christians our eyes are opened to these things more than a nonbeliever.

It is important here to get the horror movie scenario separated from reality.

Being possessed does not mean acting like an alien, all the time. It can, but it is not demanded.

In example, the AC is possessed. He comes from the King that Was, meaning he was possessed.

Acting like nuts? No! Geniuses in fact!

Many believe Hitler was possessed. In studying him, I think he was.

Are there 'haunted houses.' Yep! But not by ghosts, but demons using them to play on the superstitions of people.

In example, near the small town I grew up, was a haunted house.

No one could make it through one night in that place. Day time was fine. But at night, they could hear people walking around. Objects moved and a little girl appeared at the foot of the bed. EVERY one who moved in there went through this.

It was a lovely house on a grass covered lot with a big beautiful old oak tree on it.

Finally, they bull dozed the house, because no one else would move in.

The second they leveled the house, the whole lot began dying. In less than a year, the tree died, the lot became totally weed infested and the barn rotted and collapsed.

There is more than that.

But the key is that demons use superstition, and such things, as their tools.

Missionaries have reported idols that actually talked, in example.

Yep. And look at Mid Trib. That idol comes to full seeming life by possession.

To cement the impression the demons wanted to create. Make it a long term reality in the minds of many. Promote spiritism and New Age.

Deliberately? I doubt it.

Demons are different, even between themselves.

Different approaches, powers and goals. Some self centered and some Satan goal oriented.

Remember, per my belief, they were part of the Pre-Adamic Company (not race), that rebelled along with the angels in Heaven.

After that, some would continue to chase after the goals and plans of Satan. Some would go it on their own, trying to get as much out of what time was left before the White Throne.

Purposes and plans.

Demons see opportunities and take them.

Look at societies that journey far from God. They end up fully dominated by demonic gods and beliefs. Even when they think they have become the god, themselves.

A person does not have to give conscience permission to allow evil to work.

Look at those who let country, home and family be corrupted by silence or inaction. Not paying attention.

Many Christians play down the power of demons, don't believe in them or don't think they do anything.

Foolish thinking.

Doesn't take anything more than not being Christian and the demon(s) seeing some value in doing it.

Or the house being empty, for awhile, and them setting the stage.

The idea that someone has to actively invite or be way evil for it to happen is false. All are born way evil.

Are psychics demon possessed? Or are those so called ghost hunters demon possessed? What about ones that come to your house to test activity are they? No one that claims Jesus to be His Son can possibly become possessed can they? That is one way God protects His own isn't it? Many questions because the bible doesn't talk too much about this; I assume its for a good reason. God wants us to acknowledge it but not think about it too much.
