The purpose of this forum is to allow discussion between like minded Christians and those honestly seeking to understand, accept and grow in Biblical Christianity.
It is not for posting by those who reject these basic beliefs.
While the administration is totally behind the idea of exchange of ideas and debate, there is a need for a place that is for learning and growth, not debate.
This is not intended as an insult to anyone else. It is for meeting and need and to aid in promoting the chief function this site was created for. That being a place to grow in sound doctrine.
With that said, to post in this forum, you must agree with these basic doctrines, or understand that if you agree with many, but not all, you are not allowed to post beyond those areas in which you agree with these basics, totally.
All need to be very aware that not abiding by what you must agree to for posting rights, here, will most likely result in instant banning from this forum, if not the whole board, and absolutely will result in instant deletion of the posts in violation.
This Category WILL be kept clean and pure to its intended function.
The basic doctrines are:
The Bible is the infallible, inspired and inerrant word of God.
The Bible is a literal document. There is no such thing as a divine dictionary or divine rules of grammar. All figurative language in the Bible is also literally explained within the pages of the Bible. No human oracles, logic or any such thing is required to find the meaning of the figurative language.
There are NO other sources of divine revelation. That, being said with the understanding that while the Holy Spirit does guide, reveal and teach, nothing will be given that is not in 100% complete agreement with the Bible. Nothing in addition to, outside the subjects stated within, secret meanings within, or any such thing, whose teachings and understandings cannot be found in a literal reading of the Bible.
God is Trinity. That means he is eternally 3 totally co-equal, powerful and knowing personages who are, together, God. To speak of one is to speak of all. To speak of all is to speak of each.
God is spirit. He has no flesh.
Christ is the Eternal Second Person of the Trinity who, at the incarnation, took on human flesh to become Jesus Christ, the eternal promise made reality through Mary. He is the Eternal Second Person of the Trinity in his spirit, thus fully God, the human Jesus in his flesh, thus fully a man and both in his mind, where his spirit and flesh merge as one.
Angels are spirit being created by God as a company. That means they are not a race, but every angel was create distinctly and apart from all others. They are not male or female.
Satan was the most powerful and beauiful angel ever created. But he became prideful and rebelled against God, along with 1/3 of the angels who listened to him.
Demons are evil spirit beings. They are on the earth and very active.
There is constant spiritual warfare. The spirits and minds of Man, demons, angels and the Holy Spirit are very active in this war. It is a struggle for control, power, destiny and more of every individual and all of Creation.
The Church is the Bride of Christ, the current covenant body of God on the earth, today. It is composed of all saints who have repented by faith through grace since the Resurrection, until the Rapture.
Israel will be restored as God's covenant body, in the Trib, the 70th Week of Daniel.
Man is born with a sin nature that, upon reaching accountablility, will condemn every individual to Hell. We are totally lost, helpless and hopeless, without Christ.
Salvation is by grace alone through repentence by faith. Nothing we can do will earn us or contribute, in the slightest way to, our salvation.
All our sins, past, present and future, were forgiven when we repented. We are dead to the law, thus while we will sin, by the flesh, we are never again condemned by the Law to Hell.
Our spirits are cleansed instantly upon repentence. We are sinless, in the spirit, but not in the flesh.
Upon repentence, we instantly experience the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. This cleanses us from all our sins, changes our very spiritual natures, gives us new minds by changing the spritial side of the input equation and has the Holy Spirit eternally dwelling within our spirits, as our Gude, Counsel and direct connection to God.
Coming to God is by freewill. We seek him because we want him, he guides us to find him and ensures we come to repentence.
We are Enternally Secure in our salvation. While we come to Christ, in freewill, we are kept in Christ by Pre-Destination. We are so changed that we are guaranteed to never depart from him.
The Rapture is a literal event that closes the Church Age. It occurs at the same time the Tribulation Period begins, thus is Pre-Tribulation and Pre-Millennial Kingdom.
Homosexuality, polygamy and all other forms of plural marriage, sex sin and sexuality other than man and woman are condemned by God.If you agree to these beliefs, you may join in discussions within this Category, by going to your User CP and under Miscellaneous, joining the Special Christian Usergroup.
Enjoy.
Remember, if you don't agree, you can create thread in the Open Discussion Forum, etc, and challenge the issues there. Just not in this Category, anywhere.
