The Texas Mile: A weekend of speed voyeurism

Went to this event last weekend:

This Z06 Corvette [factory race car] was running in the high 190's this weekend.

. . . started with a $100K car and then re-cammed, re-exhaust system, nitrous and slicks.

The owner was so frustrated that he couldn't get it to 200MPH Club, that he took the outside mirrors off and duct taped over the holes. . .

I wonder what he will do with it before October [Texas Mile 2X a year] . . . .


For the two wheeler fans, there were several Suzuki Hayabusa's running over 200MPH, one did 217.
