Top law enforcement officials of the European Union (http://www.workpermit.com/european_union/european_union.htm) announced this week efforts to give police across the EU access to national databases containing fingerprints, DNA samples, other biometric data and license plate information.
Some officials expressed grave concerns that allowing other national police forces direct access to their databases might compromise data. German (http://www.workpermit.com/germany/employer.htm) Interior Minister Wolfgang Schäuble said, however, that there is a "broad consensus" among all EU-27 governments to expand an existing seven-nation data-sharing pact to include all EU Member States.
Schäuble promoted the idea of a similar data-sharing accord being signed between the European Union and the United States (http://www.workpermit.com/us/us.htm) as part of expanded efforts to track down terror groups and serious crime suspects.

I know that this news is not "earth shaking" news, but I think this issue illustrates a critical consequence of international Islamic terrorism. Specifically, due to the secrecy of international Islamic terrorism, the United States government and the European Union are moving towards more able and aggressive government control of the civilian population.
In application, the future of the European Union is obvious and traceable. The European Union will unify its international database of criminals with the civilian applications of the Galileo navigation system, thereby producing its new international surveillance system, or "the Mark of the Beast" (ref. Revelation 13:11-12, 16-18 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2013:11-12,%2016-18;&version=31;) [Greek] (http://www.studylight.org/isb/bible.cgi?query=Revelation+13%3A11-12%2C+16-18§ion=0&it=kjv&ot=bhs&nt=na)
(http://net.bible.org/passage.php?passage=Revelation%2013:11-12,%2016-18)). As a result, I believe that we actually have a tangible physical product by which we can make educational "guesstamates" about our location in the prophetic timeline.
Now, in the immediate future, I believe that this product will develop according to four observable key factors. Specifically, I believe that we will observe . . .
(a) [in progress] a sustained and unpredictable threat of Islamic terrorism in the European Union (i.e. Muslim violence in France).
(b) [after 2010] an increased social popularity of the Galileo navigation system (i.e. usage by tourists and frequent travelers).
(c) [after 2010] the European Union's governmental experimentation with the Galileo navigation system (i.e. coordination of international military maneuvers).
(d) [in progress] international agreement over how the said international criminal database should develop (i.e. the international advocacy of German Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble).
And, once these basic items develop beyond a certain threshold of technological and infrastructural "maturity," the European Union will face the issue of combining the said international criminal database and the Galileo navigation system. However, I believe that the European Union will not integrate the civilian functions of the Galileo navigation system into the said combined system until the Anti-Christ officially gains control of the European Union. But, this does not mean that the European Union will not "flirt" with this idea.
