I hesitate to ask this question because i do fear the response I will get , but it has been eating at me and I need to get it out . As most of you know I am a new Christian , about a year now , and am still full of questions. OK here is goes...

Christ died on the cross to save us and won the victory over sin, but if most of us still chose the wide path and end up seperated from God how is that a Victory?

Because his victory over death and sin did not negate freewill.

Those who do not wish to take part in that victory will not be forced to. So they won't.

At the end of time, death and sin will forever be imprisoned in the Lake, never to harm another being.

But when it goes into the Lake, it will go with those who chose to bind themselves to death instead of life.

Those who choose death are part of death. So the victory is over them as well.

You have nothing to feel guilty about.

Keep asking. Don't worry about how you perceive the question. Ask, learn and then move to the next question.

Everyone chooses to either love God or love sin. Along with the whole set of issues and factors that go with each.

Those that choose God gain salvation which grants them mercy and freedom from the Law that judges their actions before repentence and changes them to a condition where they will not violate law in eternity.

Those who love sin reject God's mercy and cling to the desires of sin. But that binds them to judgement under Law, which is death.

Those who bind themselves to God and his mercy gain the Victory of Law/Death/Sin.

Those who cling to their love of sin and reject God do not gain the Victory, so they are bound to Law/Death/Sin and suffer it consequences.

God's Victory over sin is offered to Man. Each person must then choose to take part in that Victory, or not.

So, God's Victory is total. When all is said and done death will be removed from the dwelling place of God, his saints and his angels.

Because some do not share in that Victory does not make the Victory less than total. It was available to all, thus total, whether accepted or not.
