The Idea of Revolution
To show all people the undconditional love and grace of Jesus without any reservations because of their lifestyle or religious background, past or future. This love has no agenda behind it (I Cor. 13:5). This grace sets no timeline on personal change or standards for personal growth (Romans 4:4-5).

I think God says a little something in the bible about tatoos and piercings, but since that would effect his 'personal change and growth standards' its no wonder he is so liberal in his beliefs.

So when did the focus of Christianity shift from the unconditional love and acceptance preached by Christ to the hate and condemnation spewed forth by certain groups today? Some say it was during the rise of Conservative Christianity in the early 1980s with political action groups like the Moral Majority.[...]Regardless of the origin, one thing is crystal clear: It's not what Jesus stood for.

His parables and lessons were focused on love and forgiveness, a message of "come as you are, not as you should be."[...]

Christians should be able to look past their differences and agree to disagree. This allows people to discuss issues with respect for one another. Christians are called to love others just as they are, without an agenda.

Well, the essential message is quite simple. These youth preach the "Gospel of Political Correctness." Specifically, these youth do not simply search for interpersonal acceptance and personal spiritual fulfillment, but rather they demand that Christ Jesus accept them as they are (ref. John 3:19-20 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203:19-20%20;&version=31;)).

:talk: They need to put down their cigarettes, alcohol, body piercings, and hair dye and try actually reading the Biblical Scriptures. In fact, if they had the peace of Christ Jesus (ref. Philippians 4:7 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians%204:7;&version=31;), 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Thessalonians%203:16;&version=31;)), then they would not need to use such things for personal fulfillment (ref. Romans 8:5-9, 12-14 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%208:5-9,%2012-14;&version=31;), Romans 6:15-23 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%206:15-23%20;&version=31;)). They are slaves to themselves, yet they do not realize it (ref. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Corinthians%204:3-4%20;&version=31;)), even with their "enlightenment."

http://www.christiantalkzone.net/forum/images/misc/progress.gif Revolution Church is the picture of irony. Their "accept me as I am" self-righteousness is as potent as the self-righteousness of traditional, institutional churches, which they condemn as "intolerant."

Althought I was not alive to experience it this looks like another incarnation of the 'hippie-type' Jesus of the late 60's.

They dont want to hear the 'fire and brimstone' of what happens to you if you do not repent. Thats 'old school' to them?

Sorry but Jesus preached 'old school' and believed in the 'old school' way. He did not come to take away the Law, He came to fulfull it. Which means He is the embodiment of the 'old school' Law. Believing in Him should mean you strive to follow the Law thru Him. Not blantanlty disregard the Laws you dont like or that cramp your lifestyle.
