They can't both be right:

Joseph Smith said: "The Book of Mormon [is] the most correct of any book on earth...and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book."
Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."[(John 14:6)

The Book of Mormon claimes to be "a volume of holy scripture comparable to the Bible." Both the Bible and the Book of Mormon declare themselves to be ancient, historical, and reliable rules of faith--the very word of God.

These claims have historically been taken on faith. But is there any evidence to support them one way or the other? Is it even possible to "test" a rule of faith? More to the point, is there any basis for placing one's faith in the Bible or the Book of Mormon?

It's an important question. It's an eternal question. This presentation puts the Bible and the Book of Mormon to the same tests. History, archaeology, textual criticism, and other disciplines combine to shed light on what is true...and what is false.

It is another god, another Savior and another Gospel.

Any religion that preaches one can become a god of their own creation has nothing in common with the Bible.

Wow is that what they believe? I was curious to see what it was about because I have heard it mentioned a lot but I personally do not know a Mormon so I don't know anything about it.Let me look at more threads...

On the weekend I spoke with two young Mormon men for about an hour. Not he first time this has happened. It was interesting to hear from them what it is that they believe.

they believe the bible is the inspired word of God , they believe that Jesus is the Son of God , they believe we are saved by grace and not by works, they believe that Jesus died and rose on the third day and that he took the sin of the world upon himself.

They also believe we will become Gods, they believe in the revelation of Joseph Smith , they believe that the New Jerusulem will be in the United States. Many other things are unclear . But the biggest thing that was how high they hold the book of Mormon. I would say the bible says ... and they would say the book of Mormon says....

Its like when they start talking it sounds the same but than they quickly change it and twist it into something I just cannot stomach. Yes I have heard they always refer to the book of Mormon just like we refer to the Bible. I wonder why they only look at some things of the bible? Probably for the same reasons all the other cults do. Have people that are into Mormonism ever read the whole Bible? If they did there eyes would open to the false in the Mormon religion you would think. Unless they are so filled with darkness and wanting to be a god themselves they would sneer and hiss at the thought of reading the whole Bible. And they feel at peace with this? I wouldn't be at peace with the book of Mormon my conscious and the Holy Spirit would be yelling at me NO! Maybe Mormons have never of known God and the AC makes them feel secure. After all the AC loves to play with our emotions. After all the AC wants to take away any and all glory away from God and what better way for the AC to do that than to whisper to people that they can become a god. Just like he whispered to Eve to taste the forbidden fruit so she can know what God knows and have what He has like God was hiding something. Sounds like a very similar situation to me...

The devil tries so hard, doesn't he?
