This AM's news related that WalMart didn't make it's growth targets for the last quarter.

. . . blaming going too upscale was one of the excuses.

Does anyone else see that inflation, especially energy prices has drained a lot of discresionary income from consumers?

It wasn't all that long ago when $20 used to fill up my car [or close to it], now it's closer to $60.

. . . that was $40 I don't have to spend on stuff from WalMart.

I see it.

I also see when we go into WalMart fewer varieties to choose from, including some very popular ones gone. There is less inventory, always out of stock.
