I dont believe that. I believe they will use His name to decieve or do what they do .

I think there are a lot of things like this that people believe that just simply are not true.

This is an old carry over from ancient RCC mysticism. Not in the Bible.

The RCC brought in others heavily by adoption and absorption of their beliefs. They kept the Pagan Roman way of doing things.

Catholicism brought in occult, mystic and other such practices this way. As in Holy Water, holic relics, wafer literally becoming Christ's body, chants and formula that caused God to do things and so on.

So, the name Jesus became more than a simple title and personage of power. It became a talisman, magic word or how ever you want to phrase it, against evil.

Therefore, by the principles of mysticism, what was used against evil could not be used by evil.

Many RCC beliefs and practices carried over into Protestant demoninations. You see the titles, garb, chants, liturgies and such. All RCC based, not Biblical.
