That is a complex one.

I don't believe there is any command to avoid them. I believer the commands are to rebuke and not form alliances and partnerships with them.

How can they be converted if avoided?

Jessie there's no hard and fast way to avoid such people, as you should know we're surrounded by persons who will lie and slander both you and others. To avoid them; look at your friends observe their speech & attitude, you also should look in yourself to see if you attract these persons also. Think long and hard do you spend more time talking to friends idly or about GOD. In essence they ere some what unavoidable but like others they need to know right from wrong and they need to know that GOD loves them. Sorry I wasn't able to give any biblical reference hope this help though. Oh! one more thing pray them, GOD bless you.

Didn`t Jesus say that after trying and they don`t change to dust off your shoes and move on. I`m finding that is what i have to do or people will drag you down and depress you, supposed to plant the seed not nurture it till it matures, or live your life depressed as they are or become like them. :hug:

I know sis, i`m going through some of the same and it has been ruining my life.
There`s a time when ya have to let it all go and move ahead, remember God can`t make a way until you quit trying to do it all yourself.
It hurts to let go of some things but it hurts longer to stay in it.:hug:
