whats up with you today??

today was dh's birthday.
we celebreted last night, the cats played in my flowers and broke the last one.. grrr.

the tomatoes are turning red finally. and I'm sick of the heat. it was hot again this week-end. when will it end??????

I have been thinking of trying some new recipes.
maybe making bread I havent done that for a long long time.

Try this for boring.

On route, I found a very small, young snapping turtle in a parking lot.

Hauled it around for a few hours and set it a little in the water of a local lake,

It just set there, until a bunch of minnows came up and starting trying to nibble off of it.

It got irritated what that and took off to deeper water.

I just cannot abide letting turtle die needlessly. Or other animals. :p

We are holed up in SC trying to take care of Mom....... for those of you who don't know, my Step-Dad passed away last Wednesday..... Feel like we have been in a hotel more than home lately.

Today started about an hour ago althugh I havent went to sleep. In about 6 hours I will wake up (hopefully not later) and drive to Chicago and meet a co worker at the lake to go rollerblading, before going to work. I am behind on many deadlines so will try to keep afloat and stress to a minimum. Most likely will drink coffee and wish for a nap.

I beat you about boring. The other day my sister and I picked a worm up out of the library parking lot and moved it to shady, damp earth. We checked on it after exiting, but it was gone..
