All right! Slap one on a burger.

Just put them out on your counter until near ripe. Then wrap in a paper towel in the veggie bin to slow them down.

Jesse,

We are gardeners, and our tomatoes usually ripen in the garden, but it's not unusual for us to go ahead and pick them and put them up to ripen off of the plant. Leaving them on the plant can cause them to split, rot on one side, or leave them defenseless against the possums, rabbits, and other creapy crawly critters that like to take a nibble at them.

We put them on the back bannister to ripen in the sun. Never had a problem with them not turning red. Then again, we pick a lot of them while they're green and fry them up. Fried green damaters! Yummy!

fried green tomatoes are good!

I checked today and a few more are turning red.

the are little ones, not the big ones. otherwise I'd done had them picked..

boy the cukes are growing like crazy. I think I have about 2 plants and I get about 5
every 4 days. they have done well, and are sweet and not bitter.

I was in the grocery store last night and since its corn season, they had a tip for corn growers, to put some oil on the silk when it starts and it will keep out the worms.
I was thinking of growing corn next yr too.

we have 1 watermelon too. my husband is looking forward to it.
first one we've ever grown. its not too big yet, about 1/3 of a basketball.

what all do you grow Chrystal???

We grow corn, onions, green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell pepper, squash, Zucchini, banana peppers, jalapeno peppers, potatoes, and once the garden is done, we plow it under, and plant our greens. They grow up plumb into winter season.

A regular Kroger in the back yard!

If I remember correctly, peppers like a sandy soil, but not too much water.

Am I wrong?

Should we consider organizing a searching party for Chrystal?

My garden did alright this year. It was my pumpkin patch that did the best. I have one that is darn near 40lbs.
