I am seeing more and more people attempting to define themselves, where they live, and coummunity, in general, by looks and wealth.
If a community does looks better than another, the people in the community are automatically supeior.
If one dresses in name brand clothes, that are never below stylish casual, they are superior people. With some refusing to even dress less than that sitting around home alone.
The create false realities about their lives and all things around them. And get very mad if you point anything out that denies their fantasies.
Maybe it is just because I live in an area with a lot more people with above average assests. But somehow I don't think so.
Why? Look at very poor metro and suburban areas. There is a code of dress and conflict that says look at my image. I am tough, street smart and so on.
Any comments?
