Is there Evil?

On TV a response to overturning the murder of her 5 children it was said the mother had to be insane because no sane person could do such a thing.

So, does that make all the women who abort their babies insane? Of those who get fed up with their children and kill them insane? And so on?

Are we all born good people who just get overcome with pressures at time and do insane things? Or are there people who simply stop resisting their evil natures and give in to their personal pride, egos and lusts?

For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not [a]adjusted and [b]adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear].
