church rummage sales....

while I worked today everyone went to a few church rummage sales.

nowadays out here they are having them in the sanctuarys. :freaked:

I wont go in. thats just plain wrong!

also, the prices they ask for stuff is getting to the point I think they think they
have golden garbage...

is this happening where you are too?

There`s only one church that i`m aware of that has rumage sales and they have it outside.
I don`t have a problem with it if the money goes to a good cause.:nod:

A few around here have an annual one. But never in the church. And the prices are not high.

Church rummage sales around here are usually held in the church yard, or somewhere where there is an open space with enough room for everything, and there's plenty of traffic where people will see it. Never in the sanctuary. I just don't understand why they would do that. That just seems wrong to me.

I am saving alot of junk for one of those sales. I hope our church has one soon. I am running out of spaces to hide that stuff.


Maybe the time or not, but Didn't Jesus Get angry at men for selling in a temple, in God's house.

Was the profit for the church in that scripture, or for there own use.??

I believe they were 'renting' space from the Temple to sell for their own profit.
