Tropical Storm Alberto Confirmed In Carribean

MIAMI -- The National Hurricane Center said in the eastern Gulf of Mexico.

The storm has top sustained winds near 45 mph, up 10 mph from early Sunday morning.

Forecasters expect the storm to get stronger. Alberto is the first named storm of the 2006 Atlantic hurricane season.

Alberto is about 400 miles west of Key West and moving northwest at about 9 mph. Forecasters said it could make landfall in central or northern Florida early Tuesday morning

We had so much rain yesterday and today from that mess its not even funny.


I want to move to the moutains. I do not like hurricanes!!! Eastern NC gets tons of these things!

Its here now, not doing much at all. THere are however some tornadoe warnings out there. Better stay close to the news.

yes it was a non event here
we did get much neede rain

but there are two areas of lows that they are watching


sigh

i am so over this season and it has only begun!

Yea. Just begun.

And true to form when it is down there we get near drought around here.
