I post on our local newspaper blog.

Have to tell you, blogs make miserable forum structures.

But, with that said, I had considered starting another web site for news, general life and such discussions based on International, National, State, County, City and even HOA, in example, but not a 'Christian' site, so to speak. I considered it to give a better structure and more proper moderation than I see on newspaper sites, in general.

But I am not so sure now. I had hoped for opportunities to get people interesting in Biblical truth. Just unsure that would happen.

Why? Because people love to get beat sensationalistic issues to death. What if this, did they do that, maybe the other and so on.

I just am not sure there is much value in that.

Also, bring up the Bible, and in general you get ignored. But if a response, it is generally negative.

So, my thoughts on that was to refer all religious discussion to CTZ and not allow it on that kind of site.

Also, for a city of about 36,000 people, there is pathetically few active members. Not much interest at all.

So, I repeat, I am just not sure much value in it.

But it does paint a picture of people in general. And it is neither pleasant or encouraging.

The bigger picture I am seeing is increasing shallowness, an aversion to any spirituality beyond what one wishes to believe and feel-goodism. And a huge blindness to reality, blindness and anything but touch feelie self-esteem.

Does this ring a bell with anyone else?

Be careful. I am getting the impression that certain demonic whisperings may be dissuading you. When I look at these sentences, I see a "live" image of a smirking demon. This demon has a black "aura" surrounding it, which is lined with moving "tentacles."

I, personally, see promise in this dual website format. In this "neutral website," believers and non-believers could interact over worldly issues. And CTZ could serve as a "spiritual rest area" for Christians.

The battle must occur somewhere. So, let us bring some of the battle to our doorstep.

I said I am not sure. Not that I would not do it.

But, a mechanism has to be in place to make it worth it. Make it doable. And not just a secular site where anything Biblical based just gets ignored.

yep bells a ringin

one thing I see today is that few understand WHY they need a savior, hell, etc.
everything is upside down nowadays. no absolutes anymore.
I think this is the root of the problem or one of them..

I got to thinking about this when I saw people carrying signs saying "your going to hell"
over something on the news. the people did'nt have a clue as to why that was being said
so of course they mocked it.
