heres a situation I encountered about 20 yrs ago.
me and the kids had nothing, the lights went out, no car and a mile to town.
I had one friend who would help, when she went to the pastor of the baptist church
he said I was'nt being humble cause I did'nt come to them.
I was HUMILITATED to begin with, did'nt know I could go to them.
why is it that when they see a need they turn it back on the person who needed help.
and make them look guilty. in my case I was'nt "humble" enough.
whats up with this mentality?

Sounds like pride to me.
They are the fix it people.
Those who truly care offer, do not get mad if someone else helps instead and then move on.
Help is not to be hung over anothers head. Just given because it is needed.

Sound to me like their pride was offended because you went elsewhere. You were suppose to seek them out and no one else.

thanks!
gosh they were a cold bunch. even when to a ladys meeting
and those wemon just went on like I was'nt even there.
not to say I needed to be the center of attention.
the pastors wife told me there I needed to get right in and socialize.
I did'nt even know these wemon. it was nothing but a bunch of old wemon
cliches.
When the lights went out in that house (something to do with wiring)
one ole gal told me that I should'nt be calling my friend for help.
and nope I was'nt being a bug either.
