Hi everyone,

I've been looking around a bit for a Christian forum to contribute to, and came accross your site. I must say I'm really impressed with the layout here.

I'm a Christian and attend a Bible based Anglican(Episcopalian) Church in North Western Sydney. The Anglican Church in Sydney has quite a good forum too, but I find that several of the contributors are sometimes way too overpowering with their theological discussion. When I don't understand a lot of the jargon, it becomes tiresome trying to both interpret and contribute anything meaningful.

A lot of the forums I have visited tend to be too crowded, too noisy, too liberal or targeted at some demographic which I just don't fit.

I'm also a regular contributor to a Muslim forum. I've been talking to them for about 3 years now and I think we're starting to develop a relationship with some respect. Muslims tend to be very suspiscious of non-muslims so it can be a little hard to get to know them as regular people.

Anyway, I hope I can make some useful contributions here. Obviously I have some interest in Islam, and I would love to know how Christians in other parts of the world are relating to Muslims at the moment.

Hi everyone,

Greetings! Welcome onboard.

I've been looking around a bit for a Christian forum to contribute to, and came accross your site. I must say I'm really impressed with the layout here.

Thanks.

Agree. Forums need to be there for everyone. Not just the big word boys.
A lot of the forums I have visited tend to be too crowded, too noisy, too liberal or targeted at some demographic which I just don't fit.
Yep.
I'm also a regular contributor to a Muslim forum. I've been talking to them for about 3 years now and I think we're starting to develop a relationship with some respect. Muslims tend to be very suspiscious of non-muslims so it can be a little hard to get to know them as regular people.
I have worked with Muslims in the past.

Others I know live near them in Atlanta, Georgia.

Respect rarely happens. It may seem to be there at times, but most of the time it is them being secretive.

A couple of us were invited to a Muslim board. It was all cool until we disagreed on something. Then it rapidly got very nasty.

We have had some come here over time. They did not come to discuss, but to preach.

Big problem is, having studied Islam to some degree, is they view themselves as superior to all non-muslims. Their theology is an all or nothing system. Either you are 100% unquestioning Muslim or you are not a Muslim.

But, I am fascinated to hear about your experiences with them. Always room to learn something new.

As I am sure, you have seen we have a Forum on Islam. Jump right in there and elsewhere as you desire.

Anyway, I hope I can make some useful contributions here. Obviously I have some interest in Islam, and I would love to know how Christians in other parts of the world are relating to Muslims at the moment.

In the US they are very seperatist. Live in their own communities and largly stick to themselves by choice, not by force.

From what I have seen coming from Europe, they are the same there.

Should have some interesting conversatons!
