simon the sorcerer is coming up at me everywhere. (that portion of scripture pertaining to him.) on the radio, the bible, even on the radio again after a week.

I dont know what God is trying to get thru my head and who its pertaining to!

how he tried to buy the power of the HS, and he had all the right words and was NOT converted.

Not sure what you are asking here.

But there is a definite parallel here between Simon and such as WoF.

Maybe this article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Magus) will help. You see different claims about him in different places. But the claiming of being a god seems to be pretty universal.

Whatever is true, he is an example of how fast frauds can jump on something for their own benefit. Very much like the itching ears and Gospels of money we see today.

perhaps it is wof. I'd asked the Lord to get me out from under that garbage fully.
to give me strength and understanding to confront it fully for myself.
so maybe this is what it is.

in wof how does one try to "buy the power of the HS" this one stumped me.
you'd think I'd get it but I did'nt.
(in reference to simon the sorceror)

With faith. In WoF faith is currency. Faith is power to command gain and more power. A magic spell that must happen when the weilder of faith commands it.

They worship and trust their faith, not God. Faith is power.

my goodness right under my nose! thank you!

I was looking at the "money" aspect, not thinking of something else in payment.
wheres my brain????

how profound!

what Peter said to him, was hard and stern. I've heard it put that he meant to hell with you and your money.

you'd think that would be enough to scare the pants off someone!
but they have NO normal fear. no reverence. (woffers)
